It's not a major quest, it just let's you talk to the other druid before you start talking to the guy you actually need (the skellige archdruid)

The statue quest you can do once you get further along in the game, I got 2 statue quests pop up just before completing the game. I too was in the same part of Skellige as you are in your first video and am unable to climb since then. I already completed the game and was only rounding up...
