XP Bug: mod fixes it?

Was I just punished for exploring? Is this right? The Beast of White Orchard quest(mild main quest spoilers).
I have the exact same problem, I just completed the quest and I did not receive the 350 XP (for killing the dogs) in the end of it. So yes it's clearly a bug.- Fabolous313

(PC) [Bug Main Quest] Beast of White Orchard It seems that I'm the only one but I've got a very annoying bug in the game. I cleaned the entire area of White Orchard before doing the quest "The Beast of White Orchard", but when I go to the Nilfgaardian commander who give this quest the objective...- Fabolous313
