    Witcher 3 Graphics

I disagree but this is a graphics thread not a GTA V comparison thread so to avoid going off topic I guess we will just have to agree to disagree on this. One of the biggest things I am looking forward to when the REDKit releases is picking through their Shaders and Materials. I am always...

Actually that is standard for game development. look at what Ubisoft is showing for assassin's creed syndicate, which is what they are calling pre-alpha. by your logic it should look really crappy now but that is not how you impress publishers and investors so you have to jump out of the gate...

In my experience when you work on a vertical slice you optimize everything from the models and textures to the AI to work for that vertical slice. this does not mean that the vertical slice runs smoother/better than the final project, but that the assets that are developed for the vertical slice...

"If you're looking at the development process," Iwinski begins, "we do a certain build for a tradeshow and you pack it, it works, it looks amazing. And you are extremely far away from completing the game. Then you put it in the open-world, regardless of the platform, and it's like 'oh shit, it...

If I remember correctly they mentioned that the first trailer was a vertical slice in an interview, and the second trailer was before they changed the rendering engine. I can try to find the article with the interview but it might take me a bit.

sorry for my poor explanation. the open world was not as expansive at the time they showed the first few trailers and was more of a vertical slice. at least that was my understanding of it. A vertical slice, even an open world one, does not compare to a completed open world. Both in the...

At the time they released the early trailers it was not truly open world, sure they were developing it to be open world but until you get the whole world filled out you cannot know what level of detail you are able to produce both from a workload and a optimization standpoint. you also cannot...

I think that at the time, before it was truly open world, they thought they could deliver what they showed.

I haven't noticed any lod changes but I am also running at a higher lod setting on my user.settings file. one important thing to note about the 1.05 patch is that the Debug Console Mod doesn't work with it last I checked.

A lot of the people claiming that CDPR are putting the PC last are completely ignoring the fact that their claim is based entirely on their own individual opinion. Many people are failing to consider the countless other PC gamers out there. just because CDPR did not check every last check box on...

Character Builds, Ability Points, & How to Kick Ass Thread

I haven't seen any benchmarks using DSR for this game but some sites have 4k benchmarks which should give you a good frame of reference. it does have a large impact on your fps so a lot of people use it just for screenshots. Most people prefer smoother fps over 4k.

    Share Your Screenshots!!!

the game is as high-res as you set it to be and just as sharp if you have the monitor and GPU to handle it. However, if you don't have the monitor you can always use this http://www.geforce.com/whats-new/articles/dynamic-super-resolution-instantly-improves-your-games-with-4k-quality-graphics

Gameplay exactly the same a level 1 vs. level 70

Dark souls combat doesn't change at all and it is considered to be one of the best rpg's out there. Mass effects combat doesn't really change and it is considered one of the best rpg's out there. Deus Ex combat doesn't really change and yet again it is one of the better rpg's out there. I...

    [DISCUSSION] Witcher 3 - Reviews

I would like to add that the reviewer that complained about fetch quests also gave the game a 9.3/10... yes there may be some fetch quests, but it obviously didn't bother the reviewer that much because he still gave it an amazing score. people keep pulling small complaints out of overall...
