You should still upload to Nexus if you can, and don't mind. Game forums come and go, and a lot of people don't think to go to them for mods. Nexus is synonymous with mods, and has greatly improved in recent years. This ^^ And that Mart guy, his mods were awesome.

    Witcher 3 Graphics

Never said it wasn't a great game. But beyond everything else that's already been said, we've been told these effects weren't in the game anymore. That's now proven to be false, as we've discovered, at least with regards to lighting. Now, maybe you don't mind being misled time again, but if you...

Another great piece every gamer should read

Whoops, thanks for that, fixed in OP (this was references Fallout 4, though it does seem he has a theme here). Yes, I agree, and (as was in my previously moved post) I myself bought two collectors editions of W2 as I loved W1 so much. I think, in part, that's why there's been such a backlash...

Another great piece every gamer should read From Forbes: http://www.forbes.com/sites/erikkain/2015/06/03/fallout-4-looks-great-but-you-still-shouldnt-pre-order/ A pertinent paragraph: "For consumers, the perks can be nice. But the dynamic this sets up between consumer and industry is toxic...

Don't confuse the cinematic lighting with the cinematic profile -- the profile is clearly designed to maximise visuals and performance, hence the reduced draw distance. CDPR could very easily add this lighting back to the game, and do a far better job than us hacking around with the cinematic...

Heh :) I'd say it's more likely they're attempting to address stability/performance concerns, but if this is the fix then yes it would could preclude the use of Reshade and SweetFX. In this case, the only way to improve the look of the game will be for CDPR to actually restore the looks and...

Not sure what they're thinking, but a quick inspection: The update provided both a d3d11.dll and a dxgi.dll Both of these display no version information, and are marked newer than the ones in the c:\windows\system\syswow64, from the official DirectX redistributable The d3d11.dll file is...

    Witcher 3 ReShade/SFX CT Graphics

You might be able to but the SweetFX configuration file has undergone a number of changes since 1.5.1, and just copying an old file across may not get the desired result (you may also get compiler warnings from settings that are absent). This is why I said 'manually' copy across -- just open the...

Thanks for all your work jonwd7, those sceeen shot galleries show a markedly better image quality with the shadows. I haven't started playing yet, waiting for more patches, but given the above post then what do you recommend for the cascade settings? Keep to the ones in your previous post or...

You can simply manually transfer the settings across to Reshade + SweetFX, or Reshade + Framework, this will give the option for SMAA too (the author notes he couldn't get it working with Boulotaur's). This is one of the better presets I've seen for subtly fixing the color the palette. Thanks...
