Well... as it turns out posting on here did the trick - after a final try (I logged off in front of the ghost in frustration, posted here and thought "one more try before bed then") I logged on in front of him, at which point he decided to talk to me and the quest is done. Maybe I had the wrong...

I am having the same issue here. Had Nekker bits and bob in my bags so quest showed as completed immediately, however after leaving the site, returning and even logging out and in the ghost wont talk to me. I'm afraid I have no idea how to upload any files, but I was rather hoping someone might...
