That's weird. Any reason why you shouldn't be able to do this with regular bolts as well? I'm staying away from using the crossbow altogether as well (traditionalist here) so I would appreciate it too if you could sell / drop ALL bolts, special or normal alike.

Is this something you can only do at a later point of the game? Because in White Orchard and where I am right now (Velen) you definitely CANNOT drag the crossbow bolts from their slot to the general inventory and then drop them. PC and M&K here.
