The transition should be manual. I remember MGS2 did it years ago. It was pretty nice. Still CDPR seems confident in their vision so it's bad news for us who prefer TPP. We should give the game a chance regardless.

I think a lot of us "immerse" in the game in a different way. I like to play as a character, I dislike pretending I'm inside the game myself. Still, CDPR have their vision and they dont have to catter to everyone. Altough it would be nice if they added a switch later.

I prefer Third Person, having an avatar helps me get invested in the world. First person never works for me unless I'm playing an arcade shooter like Doom or Shadow Warrior.
