Also, while I appreciate the tips on how to get around this "feature," I really think that we shouldn't have to be inventing ways to get around flaws in the game if those flaws can be fixed.

Good points.What bothers me more than anything, is that the combat system in this game is so fluid and natural, so well-designed (in my opinion), that this "feature" ruins what could be perfect. I like being able to sheathe the weapon. But having it sheathed for me in VERY inopportune times...

I patched uysing every version. Bought at 1, patched to 1.1, then 1.1a and finally 1.2. Never had any problems. What problems did you have patching incrementally?

Also, for The Witcher, the patches released for the standard version work with the Digital Download version as well. I bought the game before any patch was released, and have used all three patches, gained from using the Check for Updates option from the launcher, without any difficulties.
