It's certainly possible, but there are a lot of potentially quest breaking bugs that could affect your playthrough. There is no harm in trying, since if you do encounter a bug that prevents you from progressing you can always patch it to the latest version.

Yes, I encountered the same bug regarding the 'Color-blind Friendly Witcher Senses' turning off when the application is closed. It is quite annoying to have to turn it back on every time I start the game.

I'm bumping this in the vain hope that a CDPR representative may see it and deign to respond. I still fail to understand why they're seemingly avoiding the issue given that it was introduced with a patch and therefore should be easy to rectify.

You realise that you'll be required to start the game over to play with patch 1.02? There are myriad reasons why they wouldn't re-release an older patch, but this is the primary one.

This is my primary issue with patch 1.03 onwards. Any other changes in the graphics are relatively trivial (if they even exist). But the lack of NPCs is something that greatly affects my immersion and I don't understand why CDPR have not only failed to fix it; they haven't even acknowledged it!
