What annoying game design trends should Cyberpunk avoid?

+
Hello there!!! Please, avoid the flashy-blinking cash of eddies that fall off from the NPCs we just killed. Don't get me wrong, it's great to have loot, but presenting it like that, seems like a copy and paste of GTA. Keep the loot and even the cash inside the NPC's body like it is supposed to be. Thank you.

1.Not having npc obey the laws the player has to follow. "gravity, clipping, repercussions for doing illegal things."
2. Micro transactions
3. useless dialogue to make it seem your in control, asking the word "why?" in the middle of a serious convo.

It's not a CS pro match it's a single player game. I think you exaggerate a bit here. :D
Not at all.
There are a good many single-player games that have twitch elements.

Some classic examples are GTA (driving), any and all platformers, 99.99% of side scrollers, etc.
In most cases I (and others like me) just don't play those sorts of games, because we can't.
But CP2077 is advertised as an RPG first and foremost. We KNOW the combat is basic FPS 101, we KNOW there will be driving (which is always reaction based), etc.

I'm just asking that at the easier (easiest?) game settings CDPR take into account that some of us don't do twitch.

At this point I suspect I'll be spending a fortune on inhalers in CP2077 not because I want a bullet-time edge but because I need one.

Assuming everyone has the reactions of a 16-year-old and enjoys twitch based gameplay.

I enjoy twitch-based gameplay insomuch as I can perform it at middle age, but I don't expect it in large SP RPGs because those usually should have beautiful graphics and complex worlds which lag the computer.

Im a fan of first person games but at least they should add 3 person in some dialogue sequences. Not be able to loot the full stuff of dead enemies like implants weapons but they already screwed one of these options. If you pick an answer in the dialogue box your character should exactly say what’s standing there.Since v is an alias and is basically a nameless character players should be able to give him/her a first last name.No the witcher easter eggs

I hope that the game is not based only on the online and that it does not require the playstation plus, if it asks for the plus it will do the same end of antem .. it has been played for several months and after that nothing was known. I, like many, prefer only offline play.

I hate excessive looting. What is the point of trying to scrape together a thing from 1000 different components... that's not fun, it's baloney.

Just look at F4, even Outer Worlds recently, look how much looting they have... JC...

CP2077 is primarily a single-player game not co-op or multi-player.
So there's no reason you need to be online to play it. I'm NOT a CDPR spokesman but I can 100% guarantee only the (eventually to be added) multi-player component will require you to be online to play, and, well ... it's multi-player ... duh.

Not sure all these count as trends but I definitely find them bloody annoying.

1. Unskippable cutscenes that repeat when you retry boss fights.

2. Escort missions where they seemingly didn't check how it plays out on the highest difficulty setting and the escort-ee is now made of wet tissue paper.

3. As above but, instead of an escort mission, you're in one of those segments where you're stuck/immobile, for example in a car leaning out the window or manning some kind of turret. You lose all the mechanics that usually allow you to avoid damage but the enemy still hits as hard.

4. Enemies not being staggered and continuing to fight, run, aim etc, perfectly well even though you're in the middle of putting bullets in them or blasting them in the head with a shotgun. It's even worse when it's not equal; if they shoot YOU, your aim jumps about all over the place like you're having a fit and you now can't even hit a barn door.

5. Dialogue choices not accurately representing the tone or words the PC will actually say. Your PC then acts completely out of character and you need to re-load. You then realise that despite your usual diligence, your last save was actually 20 minutes ago...

CDPR talked about the difficulty of skipping cutscenes, due to the way their dynamic cutscenes work;
but in a bossfight situation its resolved easily by moving the savepoint AFTER the cutscene and straight to the fight..

Well, it'd sure be great if the dialogue choices I picked actually lined up with what my character says, for one. It'd also be nice if I wasn't forced to make decisions that are clearly stupid or ill-advised just for the sake of story. I'd also like to FIRMLY DECLINE missions if I feel they are morally, financially, or technically bad fits for my version of V, without being punished for it. I do not like being forced to do stuff that is against my character. I think the "epic, legendary," etc. loot system is stupid, and an awful fit for Cyberpunk.

Similarly, levelled loot is a big no-no for me. Bothered me in Witcher 3, it'll bother me here if it exists. Though I think I read that it wasn't a thing this time around. So good news, maybe?

Binary characters. People are complex and capable of forgiveness. If you do something to slight someone and sincerely come to them later, hat in hand, I think you should be able to move past your differences. In video games, all too often one wrong choice means you've made an enemy (or enemies) for life, or you've locked yourself out of a potential romance option.

Obviously, the above ^ should be dependent on how serious the decision you've made is. Murdering someone's lover is good reason for them to hate you. Swiping their car keys because you're being chased by a vicious gang of bloodthirsty killers, not so much. Declining to do their special mission right away because you're trying to save the world, also a bad reason for permanent hatred.
