(( You're on the same side of the building as he loading dock, about to cross the street it opens onto, there is no cover. ))

Ohhhhh yesssss ... that was aimed at you three ... the bullet cracks past Shed's ear.

shed flinches a bit but doesn't stop - releasing a slew of curses after which he adds "we need to get out of sight 10 mins ago"

"Sounds about right, Shed. Turn left at the corner." Talon will continue running, making sure not to leave Shed and Hernando behind. When he reaches the corner and turns left, Talon will take a look back down the road they came from to try and get an idea of how many people are potentially giving chase to them and/or firing at them.

Glancing back you see about five people (only 2 gun armed) outside the loading dock doors, with one shooting at you with a handgun (at this distance (s)he'd need to be a GREAT shot or lucky to hit anyone). But more are piling out as you watch and you're pretty sure you hear the sound of a engine starting up inside the loading dock.

"Ya'll head straight fur da NCART er grab a Kombat Kab." Comes over your headsets.

"Ya'll head straight fur da NCART er grab a Kombat Kab." Comes over your headsets.

"Got it. We'll head for the NCART," Talon responds over the comms, before responding then to Hernando "Maybe Cowboy, but that's a problem for tomorrow. Just now we need ta fly."

Since Talon is fatigued, and injured, his current running speed is slow enough Hernando and Shed can keep up.

The hopeful ganger keeps shooting at you but none of his/her shots is particularly close, the rest settle for running after you as more swarm out of the bay. Close to ten now ...

Behind you hear the engine roar, then a pick-up loaded with gangers nearly runs over some of those on foot that have already exited the loading dock as it races onto the street and after you. A moment later you hear a series of muffled "Cracks" as several bullets rain down on the truck from above ... Gremlin.

Talon keeps running as well as he can, hopefully rounding the corner of the building before the truck can catch up. "Shit. Old bird better have a plan to get out himself."

The truck abruptly veers off to one side as the engine dies and rolls to a stop on the sidewalk after taking out lamp post. A few of the gangers running after you dive for cover but most keep right on truckin.

The Team rounds the corner putting a building between themselves and the loading dock ... unfortunately they're now on the street that runs across the front of the ex-mall and there's a large crowd milling around out front. The results of the evacuation you triggered maybe. Including a fair number of gangers ... at least twenty, most of whom join the chase. You're going to need to figure out a way to break contact or get REALLY lucky and arrive at the NCART a moment before a train leaves.

Continuing to run from the escalating situation, Talon tries to plan a resolution. "Damnit. Well this has all gone sideways hasn't it. I think we need to split up you two. Get you birds outta here with the goods while I split em off. We'll need a way to block sight at first though..."

Looking at the map it seems this road will end in a T-junction. How far off is that intersection?

If he was in full order, Talon wouldn't think twice about trying to hold back the vultures long enough for the team to cover the distance and catch up later, but that currently seems more than a bit risky.

But its not like risk has been something he's avoided in the past. Can always contact Trauma team right? Talon looks around the street for any substantial and sturdy cover he might be able to put between himself and the pursuing goons.

On the street itself the best Talon can see is parked vehicles. And even less on the sidewalks (most "street furniture" is designed to be "break away" in case someone runs into it).

(( Yes, no. Hernando could sprint for a bit by using endurance/stamina then a bit longer by using luck. But not long enough to reach the NCART station. And even if he got there first there's no guarentee there's a train that's just about to depart waiting for him. ))

OOC: Best I've got in this situation is that someone stays behind to delay while the other two get far enough to break line of sight. At that point there should be enough distance between them that they can make a decent effort to conceal themselves, but that then leaves the lone person to fend off the hoard and escape. I think Talon could manage it, but it would be expensive and risky.

Talon gets around a bit as a solo, so he likely has a working knowledge of local gangs. I know that the "Game Boys" and "Wild Things" territory is relatively close by, but are they or any other gangs territory relatively close in a north west or westerly heading? Within a couple blocks or so? Or would there be a skill associated with that kind of info?
