Jefferson and Elizabeth Peralez

Yeah, their story could bring some more meaning depending on choices made. Maybe something we can expect in near future when CDPR fixes the plot holes? :D

As others have said, that quest line looks like dlc teritory, same as rogue ais plot and Black wall, they will be likely expanded further

Firstly:
When you go to retrieve Sandra Dorsets (the one you rescue in the first real mission) data in a gig you get after the heist, if you hack it, the information is very relevant
Secondly:
From that first mission for these guys I wanted it to be a lot of interaction and such, and maybe a romance option where you become lover to the both of them... alas...

Caught something on my second playthrough I missed on the first..
When operating the flathead in the hotel.. there is a room where people are talking about the mayor.
They're not just talking about the mayor. One of the parties is the deputy mayor - Holt - that's later involved in the River/Peralez questline.
Not to mention Mr. B shows up in the backdrop of the last Peralez meeting. Either things were cut here or there's plans to expand upon the whole rouge Them/AI/Blackwall storyline.

The entire Peralez quest plus the casino heist cliffhanger screams Wintermute and Neuromancer. They share so many similarities, beat for beat.

Their story should have been the main story. Speaking as an X-Files fan. Possible rogue AIs, conspiracy, ... I really don't care about V. Oh, you're dying:cry:? I don't care about Jackie too since I haven't got a chance to meet him. But I cared about these two, Delamain, Judy, Panam, Takemura, ... I still haven't got to the ending btw, maybe I feel something about V then. Back to the topic, it's a wasted opportunity that this isn't the main story. Since I'm already dying, I would sacrifice myself to put end to this conspiracy without any second thoughts.

Weird how you responded to this story. I mean....they're a bunch of rich assholes and politicians. I was wondering why my V really bothered to give them the time of day.

I mean, I kill people like them for fun.

Mrs. Peralez: They're controlling our minds.

V: Uh huh. Well serves you right for being involved in the power structure, lady.

Second playthrough and just starting their questline again... Couldn't resist going for a little ride after they first drop you off.. :)

(no, it didn't end well.. haha)

I guess I just like conspiracies. Right now I'm playing Deus Ex: Human Revolution and I am enjoying it (the main story revolves around a huge conspiracy).

Best material for DLC in the game.

Oh gosh such an amazing game but i've finished it so many times... no point to play again as i still remember some dialogue lines

Here what I found out so far as of what information was available in-game
1. The ones behind the mind control plot are most likely Night Corporation. There is a side quest involving getting back memory chip of Sandra Dorsett (young lady V was saving from "Scavengers" gang in the prologue part of the game). If you hack the encription in will tell you about "Capre Noctum project" developed by Night Corporation.
To make things short - it is a specially made AI, designed to alter personality and mind of a target individual.
2. Night Corporation is stated to be running Night City's infrastructure. Electric power generation, water supply, communications, public transports, etc. That's how "strange phone calls leaving no traces" actually are rather logically sound if arranged by them.
3. It is also logically sound that Night Corporation is somewhat interested in maintaining a degree of control over Night City's Council and mayor.
4. "Blue-eyed" man is most probably employed by Night Corporation and relays his bosses' interest in whatever data he sends V to obtain from the space station in "Sun" ending...

This is a kinda hidden super misterious ark. Its related to the final quest of gary the prophet, the project oracle thing. Very unsettling.

Explanation to this quest is connected with the very first quest you are doing with Jackie, where you save Sandra Dorsett. Then later in the game she will call you to get the databank. If you hack the databank you will get a description about a AI tests that can alter memories. Then when you give back the datashard and have high enough inteligence she will explain to you how she hacked the Night Corp to obtain this data :) so there are our villians :) a corp that create puppets to control the city :)
