Hotfix 1.22

+
Finished today my 4th play and 1.22 seems improved inventory nicely, eventhough there still are some problem remaining with missing icons images for weapons/clothing mods if there is too much of them in inventory (FullHD res). Also some legendary weps have theirs details list too long so in FullHD aren't shown. But overall was CP working very well and I finished on my PC practically all gigs and criminal locations with zero issues (not counting small graphic glitches, which were also reduced but still may happen). I spotted numerous small changes to locations, and also questst functioning, there was put quite allot work into it. Looking forward for future updates, will play now something else and return to NC later.

I've had a persistent bug since the game was released and it didn't go away yet. While randomly driving around the city, Johnny will sometimes say "el casino está desplumado a la peña, me pregunto qué estará pensando el jefe de esto." and it will stick as a subtitle that never goes away. I've heard and read it hundreds of times, so many that I will always remember that sentence. I'm playing on stadia. In english it would something like "the casino is ripping people off, I wonder what the boss thinks about this".
Also, the open world aspect is pathetic and disappointing. Cars stop on the road for no reason, they go through walls, they disappear and be substituted when looking away and back, they will appear in front of me out of thin air, NPCs are dumb and disappear/appear/get replaced as well... so many bug fixes and yet the quality of what fills the city doesn't improve.

Johnny : "the casino is ripping people off, I wonder what the boss thinks about this".
Yes it's here since day one, i think :(
You probably did the "GIG: Playing for Keeps" before "the heist" so without johnny (and read the computer message).
It's not fix for now, if i'm correct.

For the cars / Pnj who spawn and disappear, sadly it's for performance :(

It is better for CD Project Red to start making new content for Cyberpunk 2077. Soon your 'bug fixing' will make the game unusable. As I said, 500 hours in the PC version, I have no crash until yesterday. Today, I no longer count how many these crashes are. There are floating objects everywhere. Let me explain what your problem is so you can understand it:

The crappy optimization attempt can only lead to an increase exponentially of the Cyberpunk 2077's bugs.

You just don't have a connection between the teams that do the optimization and those that work on other things. One fixes something, the other adds a new bug - and soon there will be an interdependent tangled web of bugs, which will have no fixes at all. I can guarantee you through a few more 'Hotfixes' and your game will actually turn into a mess. Don't rush something until you understand how it interacts with other pieces of code.

I honestly had fewer problems with the PC version in the second week than I do now. So many glitches it hurts. Does the PC experience mean so little it's just been utterly destroyed by CDPR??

And CD Project Red, do not get me wrong. Cyberpunk 2077 is the best game I've ever played. With the addition of appropriate content, this game can become your cow 5-10 years ahead. I will pay for every DLC you bring to the market without even thinking. But please, your desire to bring this game to the consoles of the old generation can play a bad joke on you. Optimization, as I told you, never leads to an improvement in terms of bugs fixing. Look this elementary sample bug. Don't you have professional testers? Because you really need professional testers, believe me. Pay yourself for such, you will not regret it. Programmers are often blind slaves to code. And while this bug may seem insignificant, for example, some of your programmers won't even understand what I'm showing in this video (Test it, and you will see), GUI element of the melee weapons was highlighted automatically visually, but not functionally mean for me, that this type of error is one of the main causes of bugs in the game. Your programmers try to 'optimize' game performance, saving a verification code for game events or don't know how to make such verification code properly. This is why, for example, some missions even played don't finished, because some early milestone from the mission is not activated, so the verification code for finishing mission was skipped for GUI.

For example, this mission... How many times have I played it and never managed to make that blue star disappear, so to finish it.

To everyone with a bug-report. Yes, that includes you! Just follow Draconifors advice and report the bug here:

https://support.cdprojektred.com/en/

Select any console you're playing and what problem you have. The developers do NOT read these forums from what I understand. Only when they're aware of what is happening can they fix things. So, for the love of God, don't just spam the forums with bug-reports and think it'll be fixed.

Actually, the Devs do read the Forums, although they only rarely comment. However, yes, everyone should always send their bug reports directly to Support. Posting on the Forums is not an alternative.

Still can't walk in to the bar on automatic love. Invisible barrier preventing me from going inside no matter what time of night. Tried every single workaround.

Hello are you saying 1.22 broke SSD support on PS4?

I remember 1.20 did break it a little and then quickly fixed by 1.21, 1.21 is the most flawless build so far for me in terms of loading assets, I'm on PS4 Pro, the only reason I've enjoyed the game so much since the first update is having it installed on external SSD, right now I've paused the update until I make sure SSD benefits are not affected
I don't know about the PRO, mine is base PS4 with SSD and don't have any SSD support in options. The problem is that they are capping the game with each update to be able to run on an old HDD. Patch 1.1 was the best for me. Now i only see grainy textures everewhere i go.

Personally, I don't consider fixing missions as fixing how good/well the game looks and plays. There has really been very little improvement on XB1 in that regard. I'd like to know when that side of things is going to be fixed - the whole reason some of us kept the game was to give them a second chance based on that promise. I just hope the reason it's not happened yet is that it's more complicated than fixing the missions.

I installed the new Hot Fix yesterday on PS5 and ever since the game is unplayable. For the first few tries, I could load my game but then it would start getting weird.
  1. The sound of footfalls goes silent
  2. When I click on the Map, Inventory, etc. menu, the icons/images are gone and I can't click on anything
  3. Text on the screen stays locked on the screen (e.g. Hostile Area)
  4. When I click the "options" button to save the game, the cursor is gone as are the design elements
  5. When I manage to save my game, the overwrite message stays on the screen even when I go back to the game
  6. Graphics for all NPCs, cars, etc are degraded with no fine detail
  7. I am unable to load a game from the load screen
  8. I am unable to quit to main menu and have to switch to another game to get out of Cyberpunk
Now, when I try to load the game, all of the dialogue starts to stack up on the screen in the load screen and the game won't load at all. Not sure if anyone else has this issue, but for now I can't play the game and this happened directly after I installed the Hot Fix.

I want to make a suggestion. When V gets in the car and we can see him, he does not move his mouth when he talks to someone. I know it's a big request, but can you add a feature that makes his mouth move in the next updates? please.

Since the 1.22 Update my PS4 won't read my game disc properly. It starts for 3-4 minutes & then just crashes.

Just to follow up, I just re-deleted the game completely from my external drive, cleared the PS4's cache and re-installed everything. The crazy disc accessing has stopped and the game just ran through The Introduction main mission okay, so fingers crossed the cache clear and reinstall has sorted the problem. Maybe same for you? Also check the file size in the game info screen, mine was reading 73.7gb which sounded highly unlikely, after cache clear/reinstall it now reads 109gb again.
