    And that's it, I'm out.

It sure seems that way if the tracksuit Geralt cosmetics are any indication. Breaking that hard from the witcher theme clearly shows they are looking more at players who don't care about the aesthetics of the world the game is set in. Admittedly things like Santa Crach and the Lunar New Year...

    Double scenario is still broken

Could always just make the scenario tag itself as doomed once it completes. That's something that was suggested back when everyone started running Caretaker for artifact resurrection. Still, don't hold your breath waiting for CDPR to not only address the current problem, but also head off...

    And that's it, I'm out.

So last month, I deleted the shortcut to Gwent from my desktop. I just got bored with seeing the same cards and mechanics. Completely lost all motivation to log in to complete the seasonal tree. Anyway, I got the notification about Journey, so I logged back in to see what has changed. Sadly...

Please Nerf the Nilfgaard - it's way too imbalanced

I really won't be surprised if such a card turns up in the next expansion. And to really improve the fun for all factions, not just NG and ST, it will probably be "Any time an ally has a status applied, remove that status and poison a random enemy unit."

Please Nerf the Nilfgaard - it's way too imbalanced

NR is far worse than NG, in terms of cheap units, damage and boost. Combined with their scenario, they're the only faction at the moment which is able to do a board wipe on the ir opponents side of the board. Consequently, ST Harmony is probably the only archetype that runs big and wide enough...

    Spam in the forums

Mods are doing a great job. Post limit and cooldown timer between posting helps a lot too. Whenever a wall of spam appears on the front page, it gets deleted before I've reported half of the spam topics :D

The unofficial watchlist of cards needing balance or rework

Monsters isn't in a good place right now. Ironically, even though they are traditionally the swarm and big tall unit faction, powercreep and an over abundance of removal tech has reduced them to a balanced faction. Along with that, CDPR's design philosphy of homogenising archetypes by printing...

The unofficial watchlist of cards needing balance or rework

I do think it's one of those cards to watch, but only in the context of a future meta where it becomes part of SK decks core strategy. Even then, it probably is something that can be self-corrected just by providing more options in units and tech. NG, probably has the widest range of options...

The unofficial watchlist of cards needing balance or rework

I think it's more to do with competitve SK not really needing, nor having the provisions for, two defender cards. If you check the other thread that's popped up on the subject, you'll see that the combo is vulnerable to removal while being set up, and simply doesn't provide SK with enough...

The unofficial watchlist of cards needing balance or rework

I'd add that, for scenarios, a special rule of one scenario per deck is needed as well as doomed status. I really don't have much faith that CDPR will do anything about the swing these cards can produce, but I'm fairly sure that won't stop them from printing more scenario cards. Being able to...

The unofficial watchlist of cards needing balance or rework

Among other things, Letho: Kingslayer onto DLT is one popular way of doing it. I think the way you describe playing him is kind of what his design intent was, and what many players would be fine with. A oneshot, nonrepeatable effect that reactivates the leader ability. When he was introduced...

Legends of Runeterra (Amazing new card game)

40 card deck that allows 3 copies of each card. It's about as RNG as Gwent in that respect. The game has just moved to open beta, so there are a few issues, including balancing to sort out. I find the area that grates the most is PVAI. Riot really needs to tune it down a bit so AI isn't...

What is the fun in playing Nilfgaard?

Sadly, most seasonal modes tend to favour some form of Assimilate hybrid deck, so there is the easy wins factor in non-competitve games. It's all simple, low skill, boost, copy and damage/kill your opponent's units plays. Even mill isn't that difficult to set up compared to other CCGs. Kind...

The unofficial watchlist of cards needing balance or rework

I see. From a purely deathwish play, it works well. Where I've been using, to give a bit of tempo to thrive, it's not always ideal to have both Desert Banshee and Barghest out. Mainly situations where one of my Gerni Fruits is the only unit that hasn't been removed. In that scenario, I want...

The unofficial watchlist of cards needing balance or rework

Consider that many NG decks run Yennefer's Invocation as a removal card. At 9 provisions the card is cheaper than Scorch for tall removal. It's also more flexible than any other removal card in that there is no pre-requisite to play it. It won't brick like Scorch or Geralt if an opponent...

The unofficial watchlist of cards needing balance or rework

This is just a list of cards I've seen discussed her and on Reddit that even a provision cost change won't fix. Feel free to add any that you think have been missed or aren't seeing a lot of play. Waters of Brokilon - strong effect (summons 2 x 4 conditional self-boosting units) and...

Isnt it time for Waters of Brokilon to change?

Personally I think WoB should be reworked as a scenario and with that scenarios limited to one per deck. WoB, as it stands has comparible power to the existing scenarios, in terms of the type of unit it spwans. Adding a third ability along with splitting its spawn rate over 3+ turns probably...

Season Mode is being abused and not playable !

This doesn't seem like the usual forfieture abuse to maxmise grind efficiency that most seasons have had. Usually plays out that one player intentionally loses R1 playing only as many cards as needed, then hopes that he gets drypassed in R2 so he can play a card and concede going into R3. It's...

How cool are decks which absolutely demolish every other deck?

On the rage quit side of things, It's entirely possible to fake-out wins with the right leader ability on a sub-optimal deck. It just depends on how overrepresented in the meta the leader ability and the reputation of the deck it's usually attached to. Though I will admit, Gwent is nowhere...

Start the Celebrations with GWENT’s Lunar New Year Festival!

Maybe they were hoping those who didn't get it would be envious enough to pony up just shy of $10 (or more depending on currency conversion) for the bundle that includes the premium version of the cardback. Not a good move on their part if that is the case.
