RUMOR: TW3 to get new expansion/dlc after 11 years

There is no official conformation yet, but the primary source for this rumor is Borys Nieśpielak, a very reliable Polish gaming journalist with friends in CDPR - he said that the DLC is 100% happening. All the other info, the price, as well as location, comes from other analysists and might not...

I'll tell you more, the original studio that made Fable, Lionhead Studios, was closed in 2016. Peter Molyneux since then has been involved in Godus and Godus wars, video games that, from what I've seen and read, are not on par with his best works (to the point where it is no longer on Steam, no...

Peter Molyneux isn't involved with this one though.

RUMOR: TW3 to get new expansion/dlc after 11 years

I am a total believer in this rumored expansion, at a first glance I'm not that excited about Zerrikania - but honestly, I think they'll surprise us in a good way. I think it's going to take place after W3 and serve as a prologue to W4, at least that's what the rumors suggest.

When you've said "save", I though you were talking about saving people, lol. They didn't specify about the save system, google AI seems to think that the game will have a standard save file system and the woman in the gameplay demo does say "Let's load a safe file of this quest in the night"...

Ok, anyone who is confused about the mechanics of these "time restrictions" I direct to their gameplay showcase, where they explain how it works: Whenever you see an hour-glass icon near a dialogue option - that means that it will push the time forwards, like in this case: Normally, your...

I think it's less like this, and more like: 1) You have several quest lines, let's imagine Panam, Goro, Rouge and Johnny; 2) You can complete Panam's questline, which will give you some benefits in the final battle, but now you have time to complete either Goro's questline or Rouge and/or...

    The General Videogame Thread

From what they've shown and how they talk about it, it's less about time sensitivity and more about having to choose which quest to complete. Like how in Witcher 3 during the coronation quest you can't follow both Cerys and Hjalmar and have to pick one of them. Or how in Detroit Become Human...

The first trailer for Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey: With Matt Damon as Odysseus, Anne Hathaway as Penelope and Tom Holland as Telemachus. Really has this feeling of Troy (2004) but with full blown magic and mythological creatures - I'm so excited.

The Witcher IV: Articles and Interviews

Fair, but ironically enough, I remember a bunch of straight up good resolutions in a bunch of important quests both in Witcher 1 and Witcher 3. Like the whole deal with Abigail, Striga, the conflict between underwater folks and villagers, Keira's subquest, Skellige coronation and so on. You can...

While I completely agree with the reasons why big studios are risk aversive - expensive video games are expensive and no one wants to lose a lot of money - I have to contest with the indie scene. Real question, how many truly innovative indie games can you name off the top of your head? Not...

This is the first time I'm hearing about this game, which is a bit shame, because it looks like X-Com in Star Wars and has an interesting concept. Will be interesting to see it released.

Fair point. It's just been 20 years since we've gotten last big single player RPG in Star Wars universe - the fact that it is from the director of original KotOR and Mass Effect is just... The cynic in me is whispering "It's too good to be true". But at the same time, why the hell not? Might as...

    The General Videogame Thread

Yeah, nah, I'll believe it when I'll see the gameplay trailer and a release date at least. I'm tired of getting excited about Star Wars games only for them to end up either cancelled, like KotOR I remake, or in some sort of development limbo like Eclipse.

The Witcher IV: Articles and Interviews

Regardless of what individual people say, players as a collective absolutely want games with huge budgets - or at the very least want things that these budgets can buy, like great visuals, full voice acting of talented voice actors, beautiful orchestral music. Sure, there are a bunch of...

Convince me that Ciri is a good choice.

To be completely honest, you don't even need to read the books to understand why she is the protagonist now, because The Witcher 3 is essentially her story, with her being the Chosen one, going on an adventure and saving the world from several big threats - it just was told from Geralt's...

No probability involved, the Witcher remake is licensed to Fool's Theory, which is another studio composed of former CDPR developers. As for the rest of your question, I think @Spockprime gave a great answer - they have a long, long way before they reach the status of Embracer Group, yet alone...
