DEXTER DESHAWN - Robbed of Revenge

hah.... I just said I wasn't anyone. But if real people are being attacked in a work of fiction, why can't they speak for themselves? Only the writer is allowed to attack them? Or are you even paying attention to the post I was quoting? The guy I quoted raised an interesting issue about the...

DEXTER DESHAWN - Robbed of Revenge

Ridiculous that they think they need to teach players a lesson. Worse yet, they did it with a celebrity, playing a terrorist.. who is still somehow more favored and deserves more chances in life than V.. who's still young, and by most accounts, never had many chances. But back to the celebrity...

    UNLOCK ROMANCES

Well.. personally, I don't want anything exact. I just think games like this (narrative heavy/choice based) need more archetypes. With romance options, archetypes even on a simplistic level would be an improvement over this. Like the classic "Good girl vs bad girl"/"Good boy vs bad boy" stuff...

    UNLOCK ROMANCES

Even that sucks in the end. They'll always have the air of being unintegrated afterthoughts, even if they made them. It's not like they'd ever get Keanu again just to add lines and comment on them, like he does Judy, Kerry, etc.. The whole game is trash by design. The combat, the AI, the story...

[SPOILERS] Evelyn Parker, wasted potential! Your Thoughts?

Everything about this game is a waste of potential. Except Johnny Silverhand. Even the whole city itself. I wish I was exaggerating or talking about some parody. 1612847912 Ideally, games are supposed to reflect story changes based on performance. Not simply give all players what they want...

    UNLOCK ROMANCES

Didn't get that at all, period. Panam is another "daddy issues" character, that probably came out of the mind of some hack from Bioware, still stuck with teenage psychological problems. Complete with ultimatums tying her to the ending with me getting her dad killed. She's also not cyberized or...

    UNLOCK ROMANCES

Slimy because CDPR was very shortsighted to begin with. It's ridiculous to write something as paltry as 4 romances and then tying them to orientation... and not expecting this response. It's ridiculous to think all people of an orientation think the same. That orientation is THE ONLY defining...

    You're playing this game wrong!

You're better off not romancing her, unless you want to be a Nomad in the end. Anyone trying to rationalize it other ways is more imaginative than me. To me, she was obviously written for someone who already started as a Nomad, and gets a nice neat bow wrapped to their story if they romanced...

    You're playing this game wrong!

I came to a similar conclusion myself. Besides, Nomads in tabletop already start off with basic tech and junk scavenging. They're natural riggers and any of them can repair at least basic gear and electronics. Nomad also gets bonus Tech dialogue, if you couple it with Nomad car oriented...

If romance DLC becomes a thing who do you want to have added?

Unless they add a romance that blends with a straight male Streetkid, romance seems kind of pointless. For streetkid types, you have straight female content (River), gay (Kerry), lesbian (Judy), but nada for straight males. And no, Panam doesn't count. I don't care about Nomads, and don't care...

DEXTER DESHAWN - Robbed of Revenge

They weaseled their way out of that, and changed the genre labeling to action adventure at the last stage.

DEXTER DESHAWN - Robbed of Revenge

V doesn't matter. Nor does his revenge. You will accept your celebrity slop and enjoy it. It's Keanu's game. You will also chuckle along as he ridicules your character for being taken out by Dex, and then cuck yourself to him as if you were bestest of buddies. This game is basically for people...

Is Act I the Cyberpunk 2077 game we wanted?

Definitely. The game kind of repulses me because of it. All I've ended up liking is a glimmer of an idea, rather than the reality. I've tried my best to accept it for what it is, and try to get my money's worth, but I don't know how to finish.

Lets just be realistic... and look to the sequel.

Andromeda was a lousy premise to start with, and it helped me avoid it like the plague. It was downhill right from the start, except for the most dedicated of Mass Effect fans. Not to mention Bioware's proclivity to just "wing it" through that whole series and not have a consistent vision. Just...

    CDPR situation - Open letter

I don't know what they did in the past. This was my first impression. If they cared about players, I'm surprised. They lied to people's faces on this. And what they did end up delivering was a story completely centered on spitting in the player's face, and propping up some celebrity as the real...

What did you expect from Cyberpunk 2077 and you didn't get?

I expected a game about V and Night City. Not Keanu Reeves. Maybe something with more factions and choices at least. And certainly not some 2deep4u tragedy on being terminally ill... complete with Schopenhauer quotes.

I didn't like Jackie Welles [Spoilers]

I didn't like that I couldn't knock a little sense into him about his mother's feelings. I know the story has to force him down that path, but it is a little annoying to see it all glorified. I have my own experience with gang life, believe it or not. I wasn't initiated, but close enough to have...

Being a straight male in this game isn't very "punk"

Interesting take. I've been thinking that over since I wrote the post. There are some things that I do think blend well with Nomad, but then, there are other goofs like the montage with Padre. And yeah, not everyone can find their "ride or die", but for heaven's sake, that should have been an...

Being a straight male in this game isn't very "punk"

Even she would have been an improvement. She's tatted up and has a wild side underneath. Panam has no tats, or even earrings or cyberware. It's for normie players. Every one of the characters I make look like a freak next to her...with barely trying.
