hey guys!
thinking of getting a titan X for witcher 3. i'm pretty sure it'll be able to max the game at 1080p, but i might upgrade to 1440p or 21:9. thoughts?
rest of my rig is a delidded 4770k @ 4.2, 16 gigs of ram, various ssds, etc.
actually, this is pretty interesting. the bundle deals don't take into account my discounts.
currently on GOG.com as well as steam, it would be 7 bucks cheaper to buy the witcher 3 and expansion pass SEPARATELY.
does the retail version provide a GOG key? My rig doesn't have a DVD drive anymore, but i did buy the collector's edition. if necessary, i'll buy a usb drive (and steam copy of the game, and GOG copy of the game, etc.)
well, leaves time for big maxwell to come out....
seriously, i'm upset that the fastest single cards are choking at 1080p with stuff like DA:I.
I NEED MORE POWER
i need samsung to release that EVO firmware patch. my drive is perceptibly slowing down. Gonna have to buy an 850 i reckon, use that as boot, and then use the EVO (after patch) for current games
this is such a non-issue
here's why:
if the graphics at release don't match the hype, then the Enhanced Edition will fix it.
that's simply CDPR's policy. they'll do us right, because they care! and two games' worth of prior experience confirms this.
honestly i hope we actually have cards on the market that can max witcher 3 by the time it comes out.... if not, i'll just hold on to my 660 until something comes out that can :P
hmm true...
the 16 gigs is really there to make sure i can game with a million browser tabs open at the same time. :P
i've got a 660 right now and it seems to be doing well with W2.
I've said it multiple times before:
CDPR needs a merchandise store.
i want to buy t-shirts, mugs, stickers, maps, posters, lamps, letter openers... TAKE MY MONEY!
so i'm due for a new build, i'm thinking:
4770k
16 gb DDR3
GTX 880 whenever that drops.
think it'll be good enough to max witcher 3 at 60fps/1080p when it comes out?
i find it fantastic that GoT is so popular here in the US; it gives me a great chance to recommend the witcher series as 'more of what scratches that itch'.
