Realistically, wouldn't Geralt skip nearly every side mission?

I am aware that he is not a static character and the book universe differs from the game universe, the original post used the word "Realistically" which implies he is talking about Book Geralt, so I am hypothetically talking about what Book Geralt would do in this situation.

The Last Wish? Makes no sense!!!!!!

They captured it but they were not in control of it, so they could not ask it any wishes.

    Avallac'h # White frost # Ciri # Geralt # Endings

The white frost was not killing the Aen Elle. They wanted to Ciri to have a Child with the King of the Alder Folk so that they could use the child's power to re-open the gate Great Gate allowing them to freely travel between worlds. They wanted to evacuate the elves of Ciri's world before The...

Realistically, wouldn't Geralt skip nearly every side mission?

In the books he barely did any witcher contracts (the book series not the short stories), he even at one point considered himself to not be a witcher anymore. The only thing that mattered to him was finding Ciri. So yes I think realistically he would not be doing all these side quests and...

Why exactly does Emhyr want Ciri back? and why does nobody else want her? (book spoilers)

It's not that he wants her back all of a sudden, Ciri has been in hiding. Shes been traveling through time and space on the run pretty much. Now that she is back in her home world and Emhry finds out about it he wants to secure her. I think he has selfish reasons for wanting her back, i don;t...

possible lore-mechanic inconsistency--Wild Hunt are elves and Geralt use silver sword?

They are elves, they are not technically from another world. They are from the same world as the Aen Seidhe, they just left that world a long time ago.

What did you think of the Wild Hunt's portrayal *SPOILERS, of course*

I think that they should have explained the goal of the Wild Hunt better. I have read the books and I know that the Wild Hunt (and Avallach) wanted Ciri to have a child with the king of the Alder Folk. They believed that they could use the power of this child to re-open the "Great Gate" in which...

    Eredin and Avallach...? Book lore

I guess that makes sense. Although from what I remember it is implied in the books that the time of contempt, or the white frost, would only occur in Ciri's world and Avallach claimed that he wanted to evacuate that world so he can save all of the elves and even humans there...unless he was...

Inaccuracy of the game ending with the books [Spoilers]

It is never said in the book where Ciri take them, it is just assumed that they are taken to a different world and Geralt is healed. The name "Isle of Avallach" is only talked about in the Witcher 2 during one of the flashback cut scenes, it was never mentioned in the book.

    Eredin and Avallach...? Book lore

Eredin and Avallach...? Book lore So in the books, Eredin and Avallach wanted Ciri to have a child with the King of the Alder folk so that they can use the power of the child to reopen the "Great Gate", in other words they want to be able to travel through worlds again like they were able to do...
