For one fleeting moment I thought it could've been Borch Three Jackdows from "The Sword of Destiny". But that's a longshot.

Sleeping Dogs & Dark Messiah of Might and Magic for me. Sleeping Dogs is a kung-fu classic brought to your gaming screen while Dark Messiah for me was a true revelation, never had I played a game that seemed to be so real and visceral. I'm 23 now so maybe I wasn't around that long ;)

I played DA:O and thought it was the greatest fantasy RPG ever. Only later I discovered the Witcher(first the games, then all the novels) and discovered that every aspect (story-wise) that I liked about DA:O, the Witcher did first. I would recommend DA:O first, for its fascinating companion...
