The Decisions -> Impact Thread (Spoilers)

Please go right ahead. I can't guarantee it's 100% accurate as I did a lot of it from memory.

The Decisions -> Impact Thread (Spoilers)

Whether you get the first red meteorite is entirely up to you. You encounter so many meteorites during the game and you only really need 3 so it's really just a matter of personal preference. And yeah, It's just the mutant dog. I don't think killing the Reverand has any future impact. I think...

The Decisions -> Impact Thread (Spoilers)

Speaking of Vincent, I noticed that in Chapter 5, he talks to you in the Pike. If you kill Vincent in Chapter 3, who takes his place? Anyone tried this?

The Decisions -> Impact Thread (Spoilers)

Well, I've made a few passes through the game now and I've updated the original post with all the differences I have noticed. I actually did not go through an entire chapter 5 sided with the Scoia'tel but I figure it's just a reverse of Siegfried/Yaevin roles. There is one difference I can't...

[ACT III] The Kikimore queen and her cave

Here is what I think is, the best way to kill the Kikkimore Queen.1. Prepare your aard sign and silver sword.2. run into the tunnel and go to where it says "body"3. Knock down the pillar you just ran through (the second one)4. From here, kill off any kikkimore workers that are around. You can...

[ACT II] Complete Walkthrough of Vizima Confidential

Thanks for letting me know. I had always sided with the elves in chapter 1 so I didn't know Coleman would be killed like that. It also explains why Vivaldi wasn't sent to jail. I have updated the walkthru to reflect that.

Did you clear his name before the autopsy? And as for the mutant dog, yes. I think they explained that the salamandra made off with more stuff and thus were able to do more experimentation or something like that.

The Decisions -> Impact Thread (Spoilers)

Actually, what i meant is that you still face Salamandra, but in the frightener option, you face a mutant dog as well. I just double checked. With the lab option, you will face a mage and 4 lackeys.

The Decisions -> Impact Thread (Spoilers)

The Decisions -> Impact Thread (Spoilers) I wanted to start a thread about some of the decisions you have to make in this game and how it impacts the story. I will update this as it goes along.PrologueDecision: Fight the Frightener or Save the labImpact: if you fight the frightener, in...

[ACT II] Complete Walkthrough of Vizima Confidential

You should be able to keep playing. Coleman's death just means you lose a source of buying Fisstech. You can just grab one off a dead Salamandra. And accusing Thaler means you can't prove he's innocent before the autopsy. If you didn't prove Vincent innocent before getting Coleman killed, I...

[ACT II] Complete Walkthrough of Vizima Confidential

I think Shani is only home in the evenings. During the day, she's at the hospital. And if you catch her on the streets, I don't think she talks to you (I could be wrong on this one but the one time I tried to talk to her, I didn't get a dialogue option). Are you sure Raymond has told you to do...

[ACT II] Complete Walkthrough of Vizima Confidential

There's no specific order. The game will only let you put the right sephirot in the right monolith anyway so there's no way to put the wrong one in the monolith.

[ACT IV] Where is the Vodyanoi priest?

He comes back. In my game, I went to the lady of the lake and gave her one half her tribute, which she said was wrong. When I went back to shore, I think the priest was there. I think the trigger was giving one half the tribute.

[ACT II] Complete Walkthrough of Vizima Confidential

Thanks. I have changed the walkthru accordingly.I had a feeling I did something wrong. The first time I played, the game told me I could do the autopsy and determine the method of killing. But I must have screwed something up because the autopsy never started. The second time around, I wanted to...

[ACT II] Complete Walkthrough of Vizima Confidential

[ACT II] Complete Walkthrough of Vizima Confidential I wrote this because I was interested in the various ways the autopsy and investigation could be done and it grew into a complete walkthru of the quest. I have tried to make this walkthru as exhaustive as possible. I can't guarantee this is...

    The Witcher signs

I would agree that igni is a bit too powerful at the advanced levels. I think it's possible to finish the entire epilogue with igni alone.

    The Witcher signs

Igni has more use than just lighting fires. On higher levels, it instils fear, forces enemies away from you, and continues to cause damage if your enemies are incinerated. You just blast them with fire and then stand there and wait for them to burn to death. You don't even need your sword.

    The Witcher signs

The Witcher signs I finished a game on medium never using any of the other 3 signs. Does anyone use these other ones?I found that for offense, once you reach level 5 for igni, it's unstoppable. It almost becomes a crutch for battle.

    Funny Stuff, little secrets, eastereggs...

Some things I found funny/neat:- when it's raining on the Pike, all of the characters huddle under the bridge- when you run by someway, Geralt just pushes them out of the way- the girl in act 4 by the lake, when you run by her she says something like 'this game sucks' or something like that
