is there a way to draw weapons anywhere anytime?

SO near in fact that you noticed 30 seconds ago, and it manage to make its way all the way over to you and wail into you at least twice before you can even get your sword out. I find it amazing Geralt has survived this long with relexes that dull.

    Automatic Sword Sheathing Suggestion...

A step in the right direction would be the removal of auto-sheathing in danger zones, period. I can manually unsheath my sowrd and run arounf with it out infinitely as long as I don't a) have a batte, or b) loot something. But if either of those ocfcur I am forced to sheath my sword. Were it an...

    Automatic Sword Sheathing Suggestion...

Also, the fact that I can manually unsheath the sword and run around with it in a danger zone until I am attacked and the battle ends forcing me to THEN sheath my sword, even though i had it out all the time i was running around prior to the battle, leads me to believe that this is not an actual...

    Automatic Sword Sheathing Suggestion...

I'm sorry, but I greatly disagree. And if you feel differently, you didn't spend too much time running around the Outskirts at night. I CAN'T count on TWO hands, within the first night I played, the amount of times the battle would end with my sword being sheathed followed immediately by three...

Here's to The Witcher: Super Enhenced Gold No Auto-Sheathing Edition. That's the only way I'll buy it again.

    Automatic Sword Sheathing Suggestion...

Yeah, I've been sensing the ignoring myself. As long as the thread has been around, and as many views as it's had, we haven't had a single reply from anyone in an official capacity.

    Automatic Sword Sheathing Suggestion...

Another shameless bump. Also, has anyone heard whether or not a GOOD Collector's Edition will be available for the US this time around? I saw a Ploish Collector's Edition up on eBay and it blew me away. The pathetic excuse for a Collector's Edition everypne else got was laughable compared to what...

Haven't stopped in for a while. Given news of the Enhanced Edition, I'm bumping this in hopes it will be fixed.

    Automatic Sword Sheathing Suggestion...

Also, while I appreciate the tips on how to get around this "feature," I really think that we shouldn't have to be inventing ways to get around flaws in the game if those flaws can be fixed.

    Automatic Sword Sheathing Suggestion...

Good points. What bothers me more than anything, is that the combat system in this game is so fluid and natural, so well-designed (in my opinion), that this "feature" ruins what could be perfect. I like being able to sheathe the weapon. But having it sheathed for me in VERY inopportune times...

    Direct2drive patch 1.2 or wait?

I patched uysing every version. Bought at 1, patched to 1.1, then 1.1a and finally 1.2. Never had any problems. What problems did you have patching incrementally?

    Direct2drive patch 1.2 or wait?

Also, for The Witcher, the patches released for the standard version work with the Digital Download version as well. I bought the game before any patch was released, and have used all three patches, gained from using the Check for Updates option from the launcher, without any difficulties.

[SOLVED with a MOD] Walking in OTS

I for one am comforted by the idea that the saviour of the world can only choose to run towards destiny. A liesurely stroll may not get him there in time. :)Sorry, can't seem to help myself.

    rather gamebreaking problem with map

You're going to shelve the game over the map? A little odd....Have you tried switching between the world map and the location map? Also, the map is to be discovered. Things show up as you find them. The blinkie thing is a reference. You head that direction, and as you explore the world, the map...
