Bioware has never been great at storytelling. The Witcher series are based on a best-selling fiction series (and I am still going nuts that only two of the books have been translated to English). As long as the graphics and gameplay aren't horrible, I'll take story over mechanics every time.

My gratitude as well ... replaying after several years, I managed to escape this bug the first time, but it bit me hard this go. I actually did go see Raymond right away, but didn't have the 200 oren on me, and that was enough to produce the bug. I really wasn't looking forward to backtracking...
