CDPR is looking for Multiplayer Programmer for TW3

Lol I have no problems with people who complain legitimely about things. I don't think CDPR games are perfect at all, but what really bothers me is people who complain about anything even though we have no information at all. This could just be upgrades to the engine unrelated to the game, or...

and so it continues, hey dude, the steam version of TW2 had achievements. I guess CDPR has betrayed everything that makes RPG games holy :D

CDPR is looking for Multiplayer Programmer for TW3

I always find it funny when people freak out whenever anything is announced that is different from what they expect. We literally know nothing about anything except a job filling position, and I see a lot of people on other forums shouting dumb things about consolization. Btw, didn't Dark...

What The Witcher Taught CD Projekt About RPGs

This should really ease up the worries of those who were concerned about the alleged dumbed down. It sounds great and exactly what CDPR needed: better pacing when introducing the characters and worlds

[Hot] Cyberpunk - speculations, dreams and wishes

Really? I thought they were awful compared to Witcher 2's. They just felt like "hubs" instead of real locations that immersed you and pulled you in. In other words, they were functional ways to get and do quests more than actual places that come alive.

    Xbox Sales numbers

It's a niche franchise that's brand new from developers with no previous experience. I say they are doing well, and if they keep the quality up they should continue doing better and better with each release. Also, the way that CDPR treats their costumers is not a mass-market strategy. After...

[Hot] Cyberpunk - speculations, dreams and wishes

I think a cover-based stealthy action shooter could work well as an RPG as long as they follow certain principles, but that focuses on the lethality concept based above where you can die in one or two hits. That would force players to approach every encounter with preparation and care (similar...

    Rotten industry

Well EA has funded innovative games like Spore and Mirror's Edge, and now they are publishing Sim City 5 so they aren't so bad in my book.

    New interesting article about cyberpunk

Storyteling and story are two different things. I think that CDPR has done the best stories in gaming so far as they are deep, complex and rich, but could improve their storytelling TBH the best storytelling in the industry would be something like Portal (though obviously very different from...

    New interesting article about cyberpunk

People really think that the storytelling and narrative of the first two witcher games are perfect? I mean this is why I love CDPR: Because they are honest about their weakness and are eager to improve. When you read Bioware statements after they release a game, they always damage control the...

    New interesting article about cyberpunk

It doesn't necessarily needs to be a cutscene. But for something so important to the plot I wouldn't leave it to be a book (which IMO are best reserved for additional lore). Perhaps it could be something like a quest which involves the player figuring out how exactly this thing works. The idea...

    New interesting article about cyberpunk

I absolutely agree with you here and I've never intended to say otherwise. When we talk about smoothing out the curve or whatever, it doesn't mean to blurt out a bunch of exposition, it means to taking more cutscenes for showing the context and the story. Another example is TW2's final...

    New interesting article about cyberpunk

I think that the stories of CDPR are amazing, but I do think that the storytelling could use some work. One prime example of this problem is when you first meet the Wild Hunt on The Witcher 1. It was so confusing for players it took you out of the experience. I know that people don't like to...

    New interesting article about cyberpunk

Well, I guess you aren't quite understanding the point here. Its not about having a pre-existing storyline or having it being dumbed down. It's also a misconception to think that the hardest to get into = the best storyline. It's about taking the time to properly introduce characters, the world...
