God bless you - I finally start the update. At the end it was the patch problem altogether. They messed up the installation. Thank you.

If you must uninstall two main components for protecting the sh***y Windows (any version) just to upgrade the game - it must be something veeeeeeeeery wrong!

I downloaded the right files (I earn for living using computer for 15 years - PC, Mac, SiliconStation (Indigo)) so I do not think that I am blind what files to download. I hope that someone from developers would post qualified answer to solution!

I think it's something messed up with the patch. I monitored the temp dir when I started the update, there is two folders with data for checking the legality of the game but the cab data (cab 2) is nowhere to be found. I searched the whole disk but no trace, meaning the data file is not...

This Catastrophic Failure is starting to be an idiotic issue. I even removed the localized.key and still receive the same message when I start the update. CDPR should reserve speed servers for downloading. If not, it will be interesting situation ...:)
