Letho definitely wanted to change the world and give purpose to the school he wanted to restart. I think part of this is because he didn't see a good reason anymore for chasing after the wild hunt, which he believes is the reason the school of the Viper was created.

I agree with everyone from the previous games being awesome to return to. I just hope they don't return a major character like Roche or Iorveth just to kill him off at the end of the prologue :p
