Cyberpunk 2077: Putting the "Punk" Back Into Cyberpunk

... Well, there goes some of my enthusiasm.

    theme of war

Looking over the Temerian camp for the first time at 4 in the morning was an impression that will stick with me. Even though my computer couldn't handle the might of TW3, I could still just stick Geralt down and look across those sea of camp, see and hear the trebuchets, and be absolutely...

    Multiplayer in Witcher 3 feedback

I certainly wouldn't mind seeing a co-op RPG that can take advantage of the idea of a story about a small fellowship, not being the lone savior of the world. Indeed, a well done one could add a lot of validity to the idea of story within multiplayer. The Witcher and it's universe is not the...

Let's discuss Open World and how we want it done.

Can we stop debating about the business of this game? Yeah, it sucked and I was following it closely when it happened. Not relevant to game design merits. The game in itself was all right, but it didn't really feel as free as it proposed. Mainly it felt like an MMO, which was successful in the...

Combat system type in Witcher 3

I don't get this. TW2's combat system is extremely atypical of most RPGs. It's action oriented without having to sacrifice mobility for statistics. I think the however many hours we had with TW1 was enough to experience it's combat system. I think everyone should try it, but I hardly think every...

    The Witcher - Trilogy

Fixed. Personally, I would love it if they went back and revisited the old games. I really couldn't care less about the "Ultimate" version of a game, and as it comes to development, games take longer in planning most times than they do in active development. Just call me 'pro-remake'...

News and Rumours about TW3 (Was Tomorrow is the Day!)

Ploughing hell, people. I still don't understand why you're jumping to conclusions so quickly. This was a simple overview of a quest that could take many forms. If you were to most simply describe a choice in TW2 like, say, the Temerian coup, it would sound something like this: "Geralt has the...

TW3 typography and general menu aesthetics

This was actually one of my calls for TW3, to make a more fancified UI. I really don't get the idea of "Functional is good, artistic is bad". Why design anything aesthetically then? We should all be operating in blocks if that is the case. No, I don't think the complete simplification helps...

    Sailing in The Witcher 3

Call me Ishmael! I am intrigued by the combat possibilities on the ship. It also might be feasible if they implement mounted combat, where you could sideslash Nessy while trying to avoid her deadly swells. I definitely want to see other travelers on the sea as well, perhaps even a bit of...

Locations that we will possibly see in TW3 [map]

Does that specifically mean all of the Skellige Isles? I wonder how Novgigrad will incorporate into the game, whether it is the first level or actually a hub you can continually travel back to. Will be very interesting to see how all the land elements shape together.

TW3 is 20-30% bigger than Skyrim

Just for perspective, the landmass of Skyrim is about 16 square miles in total landsmass, though it also has a lot of vertical structures which expand that (unlike Oblivion). This would make TW3 somewhere between 19.2 - 20.8 miles in total. We don't know if this will also encompass sea, or if...

    Sailing in The Witcher 3

That doesn't particularly make sense since: 1. Geralt is seen sailing the boat himself in the screenshots. 2. PLOUGHING WHALE! Why would that be there if there was literally no consequence for it being nearby? There may be an option to do such, but I feel like it will be rather gated off...

Dropping the Chapter/Act formate for TW3?

I mean, the Act system is rudementary to the extent that it's really just a content gate. It's one that works for the game, obviously, but we perhaps just think that it's special because of that literary connotation. If we just passed a storyline quest and got "Act 2", what would that really...

The Witcher 3's soundtrack to be more like TW1's?

I love both soundtracks and feel that both have magnificent merits. Each suited each game, though I think it's less complicated than people seem to be referring to it as. The work was merely aesthetic, rather than being about a 'personal journey' and otherwise. What I particularly like is Celtic...

The Witcher 3 and mounts, Mounted combat is a must, reasoning inside.

It's a hard question for me. On the one hand, the combat could be great if they are able to incorporate a unique mechanic to make it interesting rather than just swinging a bastard sword at high speed. Perhaps only allow secondary weapons to be used? It also depends on the horse's range of...

What I want from The Witcher 3 (Destructoid article)

Don't know what you're talking about. Just replayed Dark Mode and it's still as backwards as it was. First levels take so long to get past, and by the time you're in Loc Muinne there is little that can stand in your way, especially the laughably easy final two bosses. I certainly had difficulty...

What I want from The Witcher 3 (Destructoid article)

Very vague stuff. Nothing radical or demanding, just things we all acknowledge are good/bad. Not overly interesting besides horse-beard.

    Sailing in The Witcher 3

Sailing in The Witcher 3 Well, there's something I bet few of us were expecting. The setting of TW3 seems to be rather integral to how the structure of the game is going to unfold, and I'm certainly curious about why specifically the war-ravaged landscape has ended up at the Skellige Isles...

    Geralt's awesome beard

I always found the beards in TW2 to be so awesome. I remember seeing one of the behind the scenes clips where they're doing the models and all the strands of hair just coming together... It brought a tear to my eye! Zoltan had the best beard of them all, since it wasn't overdone yet still added...

News and Rumours about TW3 (Was Tomorrow is the Day!)

It also showed us that the general look of the models hasn't seem to of changed much, and that the animation may be just a little bit sharper. Both very good news.
