Combat in the game - general discussion

Used that huge axe you find in the crypt by the lakeside. Was effective but after a while it got boring because you just click and click...and Geralt seems to have a hard time with it, he barely lifts it!

[ACT III] Alvin to Triss, or Shani?

I chose Triss myself because whenever I visit Shani she is always eating. No matter how sexy she is now, in a few years she'll look like leuvarden! ;)

[ACT III] Areas for levelling *spoiler*

[ACT III] Areas for levelling *spoiler* Besides what was previously mentioned (the alp that regenerates after meditating during the Yaevinn quest), another fine area to level up is in the warehouse during the bank robbery. The 5 fleders (?) regenerate if you exit from the bottom door and come...

    Moral choices in The Witcher

I'm on a second run through on hard. Now it's more a farming expedition to see how high a level I can get without getting bored. Cheers!

    Can't change small animal settings

Can't change small animal settings I noticed that when I load a saved game, the small animals settings in the advanced video options reverts back to 'many' even though I changed it to 'few' and pressing Accept before I saved. I even get the message 'settings saved'. I am using the 1.2 patch...

    Funny Stuff, little secrets, eastereggs...

Near the end of Chapter IV as you are about to leave the island, talk to the Fisher King. Choose the option to insult him. :D

[GENERAL] Witcher swords - discussion & questions

I was hoping for a moon rune or yellow meteorite in Act III, but got impatient and went ahead with a 3R Steel Sword and 3E and 1S silver sword. Then I got the sword in the swamp, and discovered you can quick draw from the lower right weapon slot by pressing 'R', so I'm walking around with three...

Talents - info, recommended [SPOILERS POSSIBLE]

I made a poisoned potion in ACT II but don't remember the ingredients (screwed up mixing a blizzard I think). It caused damage to me continuously, and I reloaded a save game. So, at least we know its possible.

    The Witcher's WishList

There are a lot of good suggestions here. It would be a good idea to study other simliar games and note the things that they do well. 1. I support the suggestion of improving the dice poker AI, but remember to keep a few of them stupid (there's one born every minute). 2. How about offering...

    Funny Stuff, little secrets, eastereggs...

Greetings! It might be a coincidence, but when I beat Thaler at dice poker and won over 700 orens, he turned away and muttered, "Damn, shit!" :D
