I tend to believe that this is more a matter of poorly coded resolution scaling than it is a funded covert Nvidia operation. If Nvidia has paid for NVSurround exclusivity then they certainly didn't get good value for their money as NV Surround doesn't work properly in portrait mode...

I am having the exact same issue, portrait surround worked fine on vanilla (although performance was awful) but now that its patched I get the narrow band of game. Please help!
