Finally decided to look into this again. Figured out the issue. I used Vortex for mods and used to use Symlinks mode. I guess patch 1.5 no longer allows Symlinks. Ok, no problem. I uninstalled all mods through Vortex anyway so that shouldn't even be an issue, right? Well, it seems Vortex didn't...

Even with the audio hotfix installed, I still Flatline on launching the game. No mods, I've uninstalled and reinstalled (multiple times). All drivers up to date. And before anyone asks, my PC still meets minimum requirements even after the 1.5 update.

I'm on Win10 and have no idea how to do such a thing. I guess I'll just have to keep waiting for CDPR to fix it. Thanks though.

There are other tricks to get the game to launch? I still haven't been able to launch the game at all since 1.5. Is there somewhere where I can see these different things to try? Thanks.

I disabled everything nonessential anyways. It's always good to troubleshoot. It did nothing, though.

No go. There's nothing left to disable. If I start killing more services and processes, my computer will just stop working.

I don't have any extra audio software/drivers. Just the standard on-board Realtek compatible sound that's on every motherboard in existence. Still crashing a few moments after pressing Play.

I'm waiting on 1.2 to start my next playthrough. Hoping it's still coming in February like they said. Fingers crossed. I've been itching to get back to it.

I considered making a junction, but in the past when I've moved system folders like the Users (or subfolders within) and left a junction behind I've had some things freak out over that, too. I'll give it a whirl.

There's an SOS job in Japantown that is unobtainable for me. I've been there, I've taken out all of the hostiles (even the ones inside the building) and the mission will not trigger. I cannot enter the building at all. None of the doors or windows give any kind of prompt, not even a "locked"...
