There might be the problem of making matchmaking longer each time a new multiplayer mode is implemented because part of the player base migrates to what they like most. But as long as it's still healthily enough, then it's ok. It's not. Every time they are close to make it perfectly balanced...

What you are saying doesnt make any sense. Balance has always been the point in any game. There's no game if you know you are gonna win because of broken rules and exploits, but a problem of self-assertion and corruption. An imperfect balance isnt an intentional unbalance.

My suggestion to First Light is to make it last for 2 turns and restore half the damage dealt by weather.
