i let mine run over 12 hours before aborting it, i even tried the extract trick and it still ran over 7 hours.... there are some good comercial patch programs out there too bad they thought they could do better as clearly they CAN'T !!!i have given up and removed witcher from my HD.

well the patch has been running 7 hr's with 3.5 b ( yes BILLION ) i/o writes and i have no idea when or if it will ever finish.i really hate blind patchers as i can't see if it is working on differant files or it's in some weird i/o loop grinding my drive down to dust... patch was DL from...

at least you got yours installed...4 hrs and 2.1 BILLION i/o's later and still going. and this is on 3.6ghz e8400 with 4 gig mem and 500g sata drives

got it to work finally, did two things. lowered IE security & tried to create account with same name as i all ready use then back out and do normal login enter cd key...
