    YT post about game development

Do you prefer a statement from CDPR public relations department? Those people surely reveal the true insight about development... LOL

    YT post about game development

There are a thousand of employees in CDPR, and many are not happy. I'm pretty sure they start to spill the details about the development and won't keep it secret. A failed long project really hurts, just imagine if you wasted a significant portion of your life without anything to show up in your...

    Mentioned but missing features list

I don't think that the low/mid- level devs had a say in the release date debacle or a change of the game genre from RPG to AAG/AAS. The failure comes from the top level, who are not exactly "developers" but who are the decision makers.

    YT post about game development

Yeah, changing the main plot when the release date is already set to be in a few months... What can go wrong? LOL From the whole post we can make a conclusion that CP77 has been mismanaged on a grand scale, which pretty much was already known just without interesting inside production details.

    Gta vs cyberpunk

The point was and is that the game is unfinished. And it's not just Heywood district. The only district with lots of quests is Westbrook. More than 50% of the city is empty. Imagine if in TW3 Skellige had just 1 quest...

    Gta vs cyberpunk

I'll help you then. Exactly ONE quest in the whole city district. It's empty.

    Gta vs cyberpunk

So, how many quests are in the Heywood district of the city?

    Gta vs cyberpunk

    1. Again, CP77 is not an RPG, it's action-adventure story (AAS), as specified by CDPR itself. Check the description in their official Twitter. GTA is also AAS, therefore, it's the main competitor of CP77 and comparisons are valid. 2. TW3 is not without its own problems, but it's a masterpiece...

    Gta vs cyberpunk

    1. That's questionable. GTA is not a futuristic game, and shooting through any number of walls is a bad design (the idea is nice but implementation is subpar). 2. That's fair. 3. Weapon modification in CP77 is so bad that you cannot really get a point here. For good weapon mods check Metro...

A good reminder for CDPR how to make a CRPG

Yep, this is the only quest that plays like actual RPG and it was made specifically for E3 to dupe people into believing that CP77 is an RPG.

The music in the game... terribly limited. (MOD TOOLS NEEDED)

Not sure about that. For example, music by Billy Idol from his album Cyberpunk:

    Gta vs cyberpunk

Dude, Skyrim is an RPG game, unlike CP77. What Skyrim has to do with action adventure games? CP77, GTA, RDR2, FarCry series are action adventures.

    Gta vs cyberpunk

You know, CP77 was supposed to be RPG initially, then they changed it into action-adventure story game, which is exactly what GTA is and, thus, comparison more than appropriate if CDPR states that their game is from the same genre as GTA. Sure, the story and music is better in CP77 but...

Well, then make it and post here. You know, you need to back up your words about hundreds of features.

    Short answer: Christmas sales.

A good reminder for CDPR how to make a CRPG

Approval? You can play and value highly whatever you want, but that doesn't make those games good RPGs. RPG has a set of features. Well fleshed out features with attention to details makes the RPG great, shallow or non-existing features and lack of details makes them not good, objectively. IWD...

A good reminder for CDPR how to make a CRPG

You don't understand the definition of isometric projection. Where did I say that? Skyrim is a FPRPG (First Person RPG), not CRPG, which is defined by leading a party of characters. It used to be but not anymore. Right now it stands for the Classic (computer) RPG because of the various types...

A good reminder for CDPR how to make a CRPG

DoS series are not isometric, they are top down view but in full 3D. DA: Origin is also CRPG.

A good reminder for CDPR how to make a CRPG

Well, at least TW3 is ARPG, but CP77 isn't any kind of RPG whatsoever. And just a nitpick, that Icewind Dale series are not in the same class as the other games on your list. IwD are mediocre games and not a reference of how to make great games.

A good reminder for CDPR how to make a CRPG

It was bait and switch. Now even CDPR doesn't call CP77 RPG. Quote from their twitter: "Welcome to the official Twitter account of Cyberpunk 2077 — an open-world, action-adventure story developed by @CDPROJEKTRED"
