It would be nice if Witcher 1&2 are just remade on Witcher 3 engine. We won't need it to be totally the same in terms of side quests or alike, just the main plot and most notable side quests :)

To be honest, I haven't chance to play The Last of US yet :) What I wanted to say that there are still a lot of possibilities that would make us happy, not necessarily (but possible) to be a continuation of Geralt's quest, and personally I won't be upset if it would be done on he same game engine.

The Sapkowski's Witcher universe is already predefined and has own history, its beast hunters, magic users etc. Changing it too much will make it a different universe - it is the same as invent totally new universe.

Just a small note: Sapkowski also has an essay about Arthurian legends
