0xc0000142 Error

Hey guys,

After some serious trouble downloading the new patch, I finally managed to get the download right by getting all the parts separately.

However after the patch succeeded, and clicking on "launch game" it states that the application could not be executed correctly and gives the 0xc0000142 Error code.

I tried rebooting, reinstalling the 2010 Microsoft stuff, reinstalling Direct X but none worked at all.

Any help would be much appreciated, I love the game and I cant wait to play again with this patch properly installed.

Either post screenshots of all installed programs or email them to me and i`ll take a look to see if maybe there is a program keeping the game from launching .

Update your Kaspersky Internet Security to the 2012 version . If you have an up to date license it should be a free upgrade . Then retry witcher 2 after updating .
