[1.08] The quest "Ugly Baby" bugs the *completed* quest, "The Last Wish"

This update caused an odd bug. The already successfully completed quest, "The Last Wish", was marked as failed when I picked up Uma during the quest "Ugly Baby". I revisited a previous save and compared, to notice that the text of the journal entry had changed as well. A paragraph was added to the end indicating I had refused to help her. But I already had helped her, as the previous lines said, and the quest was completed. All check marks are Green in the journal entry. But now it's listed as a failed quest.
This didn't occur on my previous games and I played the "Yen romance" line in all of them. This happened only after 1.08 update.

This bug has shit me to no end, after trawling through the forums this bug is 100% triggered if you fail the quest once and reload or if you are using the console, I've only seen other console using people complaining about this bug and others have mentioned the quest working if they disabled console and re-enabled after getting to Kaer Morhan.

So on 1.08 never fail this quest and disable console while doing it or you will fail the quest, I can't believe a 40+ run through of the game has been ruined by such a stupid and easy bug.

Wait, so you have to get through the quest without dying/reloading and disabling console? Only then will it not bug out later?

Well, I am using console. Hard to believe that would cause it, but... I dunno.
I'll try disabling console and then getting Uma to Kaer Morhen.

The problem with Witcher 3 seems it uses a lot of flags from sign post to sign post to initiate cut scenes and quest starting flags, I'm only assuming this because I've broken 4-5 quests now using fast travel from anywhere and thus the game doesn't load a cut scene. I've read on steam forums or somewhere else people have had success disabling console during Last Wish and then using sign posts to travel to pick up Uma.

I didn't have any success with this because I missed the quest entirely on my play through and it seems that no matter how I replay the quest it refuses to stay complete, if you simply fast traveled around and it failed it might be worth re-playing and disabling the console for a bit and see how it works out, others have had success with this.

Well, disabling console did no good, and I'm 100% certain I didn't fail the quest on this playthru. I may have on one of the previous ones, but can't remember.
How annoying....

Very unlike the AllowFT(1) command breaks the quest specifically due to missing cutscenes because I used that thruough the whole game in 1.07 and did not encounter this issue. I was careful about not using FT where I thought it might be likely I'd encounter something along the road, but otherwise I did take advantage of it plenty.

The only quest that auto failed for no reason (after being completed) was reasons of state at the end (which i believe happened to everyone, in that patch)

So this sounds like a 1.08 bug, that most players encounter.

Sorry for necroing this thread but I don't want to clutter the forum by creating a separate thread about the same issue.

Just encountered this issue myself, disabling console and mods isn't helping. Did anyone find a fix for this annoying bug? If it helps, I'm on the latest (1.08.4) patch. It's infuriating me because it seems I will now have to restart from scratch and hope that I don't get this bug again.

this is no PC problem on,y the same crap happens also on PS4 .. if you do uma, then last wish will instantly auto fail..

now ive to test it out, if it also happens, if I do last wish first and then uma, if it then bugs out also to and instant fails LW... if this happens, this is hopefulyl one of the quest bugs that definetely hopefully get fixed with 1.09.

Seriously, completed quests to bug/fail after youve completeed them and done a different quest are an absolute no go... but püersonally im anyways already at the point, where I'd say, the whole game needs for now one big high priority quest fix patch instead of a content patch, getting finally rid of all these silly auto fails,fail objectives ect. that people are reportign since the last months

its a shame that such a great game ruins itself its awesome impression by so many bugged quests that are always related only to some stupid fail conditions.
it realyl cant be, that such an important quest like that of LW auto fails, where it is decisive over over the point, which sorceress you romance later.

But more silyl do I find it that it takes so incredible long, until you get finally a chance to Yen Yen some stupid quest relative items..
Would it be so freakign hard to add already to the very first conversation options with yennever also a chance to give Yen some items, like the Crystal Skull or the Crystal from Redanias Most Wanted Women
