10 Fun Things to Do While You Wait for Cyberpunk 2077

The facebook page shared this

I couldn't help but chuckle at point #7
How many of you use reddit and if so are over there?

Well what would you add to that list?

Masturbate to the cyberpunk themed porn I have amassed...

Crank out as much crap for DF 2020 as I can before it all becomes redundant when the game comes out and I give up the site for good.

Read Transmet, Appleseed, Gits, Battle Angel Alita, Car Warriors, Hex, Adam Warren's Dirty Pair, and the vast number of other cyberpunk comics I have...

Post here, and become increasingly frustrated when it becomes apparent that things I want in the game will be left out.... leading to severe depression...

Play Cyberpunk 2020.... a shitload...

Wish endlessly that R.Tal or CDPR would hire me...

Alternate between ecstatic joy, unrelenting depression, fervent ardor, foolish naive optimism, and soul crushing pessimism...

I don't know what I am going to do tomorrow though, I never plan that far ahead.

I've resorted to writing fan fiction, will probably re-read Neuromancer, and hell I'll probably just run around in my Anime style home in the PS Network.

There should definitely be a Spider Jerusalem/Hunter S. Thompson NPC working in the media.

I would play Cyberpunk 2020, but I don't really have any friends that are into it as I am.

I had to narrow down the list to only 2 things while waiting for CP2077.

1. Watch CP2077 teaser again & again & again & again & again......
2. Go to Cyberpunk.net forums for info, discussions, & to get hype for the next 2-3 years.

Keep doing what I already do, ( which is horribly similar to Wisdom's post), because that's what I was already doing these last 20+ years.

Play Anarchy Online.
Play Deus Ex for the umpteenth time.
Play Deus Ex Human Revolution for the second time.
Play Borderlands or Borderlands 2.

Watch my HD Robocop trilogy re-release.
Watch 1984.
Watch The Fifth Element (I actually liked it).
Watch The Island (also liked it).

Play Half-Life 2 (most people forget this is cyberpunk dystopia, the Combine and all? I don't know why it gets left out).

It's SF, but it doesn't feel like cyberpunk at all. Dystopia is not something that is reserved only for cyberpunk.

Yeah I read it as well and I was like ok...but what if I do not have time to do all that... :p

But any how Is like that is what i do all day of my life without knowing it because is so automatic.

well there is a new gits anime, blade runner movie and shadowrun game coming out before we get to the main dish that is cyberpunk 2077
so i know what i will be doing :)

Continue doing what I have always been doing. Though now I gradually will be checking on more info on CP77 from here on out. But still more excited over TW3 than CP.

Sets a nice scene, an ultramodern bulwark of very restricted technology, lower classes in normal homes. Yeah, I know dystopia isn't a nescessary part of cyberpunk scenery but most of them do have it. Even Cyberpunk with the slums, the lower classes- they're kinda' stuck and thumbed down, fighting for food, drugs, money, laundering stolen implants, bodyparts, etc.

Then compare Half-Life 2, it is more science-fictiony with the alien invasion and all, but think of it- the combine are basically humans fitted with all kinds of cybernetics, brainwashed and refitted as soldiers and the like, as seen here.

Maybe I'd have better said the Half-Life 2 mod Dystopia, which is much more centered about a cyberpunk theme with ion and laser type weapons, cybergrid hacking, implants and extreme modifications (the heavy class in there is pretty much a base organs-stripped human contained in an armed metal shell as seen here
