2 little modding problems. Please, help me.

Hello.

I'm new here. I'm a RPG and RTS gamer, but most of all I try to be a modder (well ... a mini modder ... only textures and balance).
I worked on Gothic, Morrowind and others. Last days I made a mini mod for the Witcher, too; I needed a store at the marsh for my loot, but I reputed irrational the well-known dryad solution. So I made a similar mod by the old brickman.

Anyway, I'm here because I hope you can solve two separate problems.

First problem (modeling).

The target
I’d like more differences between the witcher second armor and the third one, so I wish to replace the second armor by an altered version of the first one.

The solution
1) to duplicate the mesh and texture of first armor;
2) to rename them like the mesh and texture of the second armor;
3) to link the new mesh to the new texture;
4) to alter the new texture, for example by a leader jacket (of course, the second armor will be similar to the first one, but it isn’t a problem because the first armor is shortly used and so I will not get bored by it).

The problem
Blender, 3DS and similar model editor are difficult and so I can’t link the new mesh to the new texture; I can’t specify the new texture into the new mesh.

The questions
Can anyone explain a simple procedure to my target? Otherwise, can anyone make a copy of the “cm_wicht1.mdb” mesh (then I rename it as cm_wicht2.mdb) and link it to the “cr_witch2_c1.dds” texture (the game misses this one and so we can use its name)?

Second problem (balance).

The target
I’d like sell the monster ingredients to someone, preferably to the alchemists as Kalkstein; foolishy the game stops it.

The solution
To change the respective scripts by the appropriate software.

The problem
I explored the “.2da” files by TLKEdit software and the “.utm”, “utc”, “uti”, “dlg” files by K-GFF software, but without success.
I presume the “.utm” files are my targets, but I’m not sure, because I don’t detect any alteration in the game when I change them. It’s possible that my changes are visible only if I start a new game, but it’s too long to restart the game and to get the first merchant.

The question
Any suggestion?

I’ll wait your help.

Bye
