20% bigger than Skyrim...

The developers have already mentioned that this game will be 20% bigger than skyrim but what I wanna know is that even if the map is 20% bigger than skyrim will it have as much content/quests as skyrim?

The developers have stated over 100 hrs of gameplay (which is still very decent!) but I know some friends who have played skyrim for 170+hrs...one bloke claims he's spent 300 hrs on it.

somehow I don't think it will have as many quests as skyrim as that would be too intensive for a game with such super AAA graphics! skyrim could afford to put in many crappy side quests with the same duplicated dungeon a hundred times over...if you know what I mean...

There are countless threads on this issue. Also, the world is rumored to be way bigger than that of Skyrim's.

All I'll say is that quantity ≠ quality, since I don't want to get into this whole ordeal again.

100 hours of gameplay in Witcher 3 is the main story and side quests. I doesn't feature mocking about and exploration.
I can spend 150 hours playing Fallout New Vegas as well, that doesn't mean the game is 150 hours long.

There are many threads here on the forums which discuss the games size and content.
Here is a recent one for examplehttp://forums.cdprojektred.com/threads/29584-The-Witcher-3-Two-Areas-Are-Over-52-Square-Miles-by-Themselves

Also try not to make new threads before searching the forum for similar ones. You are just creating more work for the mods ;)

You know what you're saying so I'll put it simply. Most of Skyrim's quests are are fetch quests, go to X cave/dungeon, kill everything and retrieve something and come out from a conveniently placed trap door at the end, basically just computer generated quests. The Witcher 3 all the quests will be handcrafted.

You can spend as much as time as you want obviously, if you're just gonna go around killing stuff then your playtime will expand accordingly. Strictly speaking Skyrim's main quest took me merely a few hours and the guild quests weren't very interesting this time around but they weren't too long either but The Witcher is a story driven game, the 50 hours is just main story and 50 hours is sidequests(last time the playtest average was reported to be 120 hours). If you go around hunting stuff or exploring or dealing with the random encounters in the game then obviously it will take much more time till you're done with the game.
