Whether you’re hunting shards of poetry in Night City or prefer Geralt’s sharp limericks, we’ve got a challenge for you! Sometimes, even a gonk can appreciate a good poem.

In celebration of 20 years of CD PROJEKT RED’s community, we’re hosting a poetry contest! Your task? Write a short poem (up to 1000 characters, including spaces and punctuation) that pays tribute to CD PROJEKT RED, its incredible community, and/or our games. Your poem must be in English (our ripperdoc is fresh out of translator implants).

And if you're ready to show off your wordsmithing, submit your work in this thread by Sunday, October 27th, 23:59 CET.

Twenty Years of Beauty, We Know..

In a world where monsters wear human skin,
there is no lesser evil, only paths that scar.
The wolf howls softly, his fight within,
shaping lands with choices both near and far.

Through dangerous streets, we chase lost dreams,
a thing of beauty flickers, refusing to fade.
Flesh turns to steel, yet still it seems the soul endures,
through the choices we’ve made.

The night whispers never stop fighting,
as stars dim behind Night City's lights.
For twenty years, we've walked this path,
in tales of courage and daring flights.

As an old friend once said, today was a good day,
for CD PROJEKT RED has forged a legacy bright.
Together we stand, through journeys we've paved,
celebrating our stories that will never fade away.

Writing the poem in one language and then adapting it to another while trying to maintain the rhymes was a bit strange, but I did my best. I hope everyone enjoys it. Thanks CD team and good luck for everyone that submit entries for the contest!

It was the first time when I wrote something with rhymes in a not native language. So I don't know what the final effect is, whether it sounds okay or not, but I still had fun with it. When i made it i had in head vision of rapping this text (i don't know why, i am not even a fan of this kind of music). Finally, I had to shorten it a bit! . I also wish all participants good luck! Enjoy and Happy anniversary!

Their epic plot began in Łódź at Traktorowa street.
They obtained The Witcher license and didn’t retreat.
The first game was made for years, exactly five.
Thanks to them The White Wolf came back to life.

Geralt's story was continued in the Assassins of Kings.
REDengine allowed them to spread their talents and wings.
Words of appreciation came from all over the globe.
Among game developers they could put on a leader robe.

The Wild Hunt brought them the glory and fame.
Since then every player recognized their name.
Two expansions closed trilogy of the Gwynbleidd tale.
The next project was to be on an even a larger scale.

Cyberpunk showed charms and shadows of Night City.
Although not everything was at first sight so pretty.
Bugs and crashes were a serious headache at the start.
They fixed everything with power of their RED heart.

Today we thank you CD Project for all you have done.
We know that in the future you won’t let us down.
And you will prove that you deserve a gaming crown!
