i don't like this idea too...i hope it's not like in the end of RDR(after completing main quests main character dies and you get to play another char)
Guys pay attention, he is goddamn right, no co-op but this guy playable, look his hand in hereI am 90% sure the second character is this guy. . Damien said to pay close attention, which means the character is kinda hidden. You can see his hand on 0:34.

Thank you, so we dont know who this guys is , right?http://forums.cdprojektred.com/threads/30509-Screenshot-amp-Artwork-collection-Part-II First spoiler, art somewhere in the middle.
Hmm, don't know if someone guessed this already, but could the guy from the pic be the masked man/gal from the SoD trailer? If yes, it's interesting that they are teasing him/her in such a subtle way.
Whoever it is, I hope she/he will be playable for a very short amount of time...
Yes, just red that in another thread..He said "significant"...What that means? 10% of time? 20%? 50%?Tough luck m8, I think Marcin confirmed that the play time as the second PC will be substantial.
I'm wondering, not in a snide way, why do some people not like this and\or don't see the merit?
I think it has several advantages. It exposes you to some story bits that are probably essential, or at least I hope they are. If it's just swapping characters for the sake of swapping characters, I worry it might not be done with as much a sense of purpose. Also, it lets you see new and unique areas, areas that there might not be any reason for Geralt to travel to. Remember when we read on a few occasions that besides the two main maps there are smaller areas that aren't directly connected? Maybe this is part of it, then.
Open Worlds with single (or even duo) maps are limiting. There are places you can't visit because they're too far away. Or alternatively, the Devs can attach them to the map, but the scale would be ridiculous and ruin immersion - such as a trip from Novigrad to Kaer Morhen taking a mere twenty minutes on horseback, while it should be a matter of weeks. This is why I like DA:I's model - multi-regions which are Open Worlds.
Swapping you temporarily to a different character opens new narrative paths for CDPR as well as taking us to faraway areas we otherwise wouldn't see.
I'm happy about this (even if it's not with unique areas).

Someone's gonna steal the game from Geralt
