Shacknews posted some too:http://www.shacknews.com/screenshots.x?gallery=11421&game_id=6735&id=130922#img130922I was looking at them thinking hmm, they actually don't seem too different from the pc version at max settings, in terms of image quality. One thing that stands out is the lighting, High Dynamic Range alone will improve a game alot and it looks like they've done that here.

Greetings. Yeah, actually, it looks not so much different. Maybe you see it more in the characters when they are in a close up. As I read somewhere the models for RotWW (

One thing i would play it for is new areas, i assume they cut out a part of the game originally between prologue and Act I, when Geralt travels from Kaer Morhen to Vizima. That's some trek, and it would be cool to play at least some of it, after all they have the entire Kaer Morhen valley modelled. Then again, to do this to scale would mean covering a lot of ground so perhaps for practical reasons it's best the way it is.I just remember playing the original game and having no idea what happened between the cut scene where Geralt parts with Triss etc, and the cut scene where the dogs are chasing Alvin & his carer. I'm not sure if i just didn't pay attention or if the scene showing the map and explaining the travel wasn't there originally, though.

Well, I wished they´d have chosen more different areas for the original game in some cases - I first wondered why the swamp camp always has different inhabitants - first it´s elves then it´s these Bandit dudes. Personally, I´d have chosen another, more secret area for another camp. Same with the cave there and the wolves... wait later it´s a c-o-c-katrice lair. That´s the only slightly confusing thing.@Xellotath : Yes, indeed. In the original game the transition between prologue and chapter one was solved (maybe) a bit awkwardly concerning the storytelling.. Although I must say, with the movie like appearance or feeling of the game, I didn´t pay that much attention to it. Some other people criticised (also from some german game magazine... but this doesn´t count, because they more bashed the Witcher - I can´t wait to see when he bashes them! ) exactly this and could not cope with this surprising act, they kept asking how Geralt got there (uhm... by train?), what the heck is going on now, who is that girl, where did the boy come from, where am I? etc. You´re right, the map and the cutscene were not in the original edition and were added later in the EE - which is an improvement to the really rough cut before.

I knew it!!I kind of suspected this but when i seen that cut scene in EE i thought to myself: "hmm, i don't actually remember this.. No wait, it must have been there, or else it wouldn't have made much sense" since it was about a year after i played the original and couldn't remember for certain. That's pretty crazy and i'd expect the game to get bashed for that in reviews, i guess those of us that stuck with it and read between the lines to figure out what happened are the die hard witcher fans ;DI've always said though, even in my own review which i wrote some time ago, that this is not a completely accessible game. I stick by that statement even with the EE edition, though it was definitely more true of the original. I don't mind that, though, if every game was mind numbingly easy to get into and console-ish our industry wouldn't have survived this long, we need games like this.

Oh, no no, this has not yet something to do with die hard witcher fans... actually, the Witcher crew in the Prologue mentions themselves they´ll head out to get their stuff back. So usually, I´d say... yeah, when I know that, the rough cut isn´t so bad. Harrumph. :whistle:But I must admit, you´re very right when it comes to accessibility. For me it´s easier now that I know the short stories and the first novel, before it was more like - uhm, oh... who´s that? (he says I knew him before???) That was sometimes a bit complicated, and I searched a lot on the forums before I could read the books - in this case it really was spoiler spotting. XD(Yeah you Hard-core fans, I spyed on you!)Cheers

Yeah it's great to read the books after having played the game, even though we only have the short stories and first book in the saga so far.As far as i can tell they kind of took some license with the game in re-telling things that are in the books, mainly the scoi'tael stuff, as after reading blood of elves the situation seems alot like it is in the game even though the game takes place like 5-10 years later or something. I just finished reading for the 2nd time the chapter where the kings + queen are meeting to discuss what should be done. Though i have no idea how the rest of the story develops so i guess we'll have to wait and see... Sucks that it's taking so long to get the books translated though, seems to be one a year :(I still think anyone that stuck with the game when it was first released is a somewhat die hard or very big fan, not only because of what was mentioned but the various other things that were wrong like the 40 second loading times lol. Takes some loyalty to bear that ;D

It for sure can be discussed how similar the events from the game are compared to the novels. Some quotes are directly transfered from the stories to the game, and some events are, too. As far as I heard of the novels core storyline is wrapped around Ciri, which already plays a huge part in "blood of the elves". It´s quite a bit frustrating, it takes them so long to translate the material. One a year... well... I hope there will be a lot of sequels to the game, maybe a movie to keep the hype alive. ::)Okay - let´s just hope they release every novel - and don´t get the idea, to cease, because the sales don´t match their expectations or something.Personally, I´d also be interested in a graphic novel collection from the existing comic books, wouldn´t that be something?Maybe, but all that cursing about loading times *shrugs* - I once owned a commodore-64... all work with it was a long loading time. So I never got the point why there is this impatience. ;DI also must say, a lot of other games came with more horrible problems - *looks at the box from gothic III and remembers these nonexisting animations in some animals... including other severe bugs...*
