876hrs. in and I've tried to stay positive...after six months I never thought this would be my mind set....
1st and 2nd chapter blow by at times others it's grind farm grind
it all seems like a mad dash to go to Embers...
no "fun"...no laughing out loud moments come to mind
take a phone call, kill em take a call for ya "atta-boy" rinse repeat...
too much grind for what? mansion...nope, lover / companion....that you share time with.....nope ( current "romance" system is a build up to a one night stand ) , camaraderie/respect from your fellow afterlife mercs...nope, different dialog from npcs for changing the city/ rep/respect .....nope
I feel like I've busted my butt to achieve something and was left holding an empty bag... been running around in a glass box ..ya can see it and hear it but it's not for you...
where / what is the sense of achievement ?
manage to get the chip out and you get what, 15min. of Afterlife "boss" and a apparent sucuide run on a space casino...
then right back in the hole...what do ya get for all the work and reloading through bugs? zilch
I don't mean to ruin anybodies experience but I have to face that this is how CP77 makes me feel now...
DLC...nope none more patches each carrying their own new bugs

It's just a videogame, you have fun, and when you stop having fun you go play something else. Fun is all you can walk away with. I think that's the fundamental failure here, CDPR promised a living and breathing world, but it's just another videogame, no more no less.

I disagree. I believe you hand wave away its issues. I have, and can, pick back up W3, FO3/NV, Skyrim, etc and enjoy playing them. For me maybe the last the least and others far more.

Just look at steam users/playing
2077 is now beneath RDR2 in players....
Far beneath Skyrim
Beneath Fallout 4
Barely above W3

When your story is all roads lead to Rome and even then story is not resolved - your "endings" become useless flavor only - as there is no resolution or much cause for hope except blind hope.

There are SERIOUS issues retaining players. They played it and dropped it. They built their empire on awesome RPGs one can truly enjoy replaying
To this "action adventure" game with little agency and unresolved ending and the player base is showing it isn't standing up to other games far older than it.

I have lost a lot of faith in their honesty, their ability to create stories, and their ability to merge a good story and an open world. They got star struck with their voice actor hire and that fanboi-gasm led us to the current day.

Nope :(
1.5K Hrs and I restart a Street Kid run. I enjoy it a lot and have a lot of fun. I watch all the games in the store, none really attracts me and those I already have seem bland (Skyrim/Fallout/RDR/GTA5/...even TW3). Maybe ME - LE could be the game to take a CP break (even if I already have the 3).
I'm waiting for future DLCs/Content while playing CP.
If you don't have fun, don't play (seem logic but a game is here only for fun).

PS: In my opinion, 874h for the cost of CP, it's not a bad deal (much better than my 10Hrs on Yakuza LAD) :)

I'm very happy for you. It's great you enjoy something and to the amount you have. I agree a great value for you.

Just the overall player base doesn't seen to be following your journey. Far far more are playing the others versus sticking with this action adventure game.

So many feel burned or let down by what they received.

We will agree to disagree. I would not ever call one of the best RPGS in existence (W3 or NV take your pick) "bland".

It's just my opinion and certainly not shared by many ;)
(To be honest I don't care)

Edit: And for TW3, I'd much rather explode the head of a maelstromer under of neon lights and buildings than cut a ghoul in half in the middle of a swamp. But it's like everything, it's a matter of taste.

Its ridiculous that after 6 months I cant play the game yet. That its still with problems.
CDPR from the creator of the cool and succesful Witcher francize has turn into a joke. Pitty.

76% rating on steam, 85% critics review, 7.1 user review on metacritic, 13.7 million copies sold vs 180.000-215.00 refunds. Yup, nothing says "far more unhappy customers than happy/loving it customers" better than these numbers.
Personally, I think the actual state of the game and the legitimate grievances customers have with CDPR's actions with this game are more important than figures pulled from the internet to make a point. All that is showing is how bad the situation is when a company can do what was done here and it still be considered a success. I'm now able to play and enjoy the game somewhat, but it doesn't suddenly make everything ok. Telling upset customers that they must be wrong because of the numbers is not the most constructive or helpful thing to do, in my opinion.

Wasn't telling anyone that they're wrong for having grievances or that they shouldn't make suggestion, only that the statement "far more unhappy customers than happy/loving it customers" is demonstrably false.

Fair enough, but those figures and scoring systems are open to abuse and it is fair to say that for various reasons, the reviews of the game prior to release were misleading at best.

I speak about me, honestly I'm more motivated to leave a review when I'm not happy about a game (or if i really love it)
If the game is just "pleasant" even "good", i don't care :)
So all the reviews stats, I tend not to pay too much attention.

At ~6 months after release, the game is still broken, still no New game+, still missing basic features, PC visuals have been nerfed...

It's only PC score. And even this version is a significant drop in reception in comparison to the Witcher trilogy, not just Witcher 3. It didn't piss off people like Last of Us 2, but people's reaction is rather lukewarm.

High sales are due to good will and insane marketing. I wonder how much they will sell during 2021 and onwards.

Just curious, if you're this dissatisfied with the game, how can you play it for hundreds of hours? I finished my first and only playthrough end of December with about 140 hours, after completely cleaning the map and I've dropped the game like a hot potato after experiencing two of the endings (Sun and Star). Then spent one month being really depressed and the rest of the time here discussing. But I really haven't felt the urge to touch the game again, yet. Because the endings just fucked up the game for me, the lack of meaningful choices klled all replayability and the rest of the game is just to broken and imbalanced to enjoy it just for the mechanics or the world.

This argument was already debunked several times.
The average score between pc, ps4, xbox one is 5.2 out of 10.
The steam accountsonly for 2.5 % of people who bought the game. So its not a good measure.

The good initial sales are because of gigantic marketing and big hype created. So again its not good measure.

It's only PC score.
Yes, because PC version is the one that is (according to CDPR) working as intended. Plan is to bring last-gen console versions close to the level of PC, which does have "mostly positive" reception.
The average score between pc, ps4, xbox one is 5.2 out of 10.
Even so, how on earth does 5.2/10 prove that far more people dislike than like the game?

Funny, but 2.5% is still higher than percentage of people who refunded the game. So, is there any shred of evidence to support the claim that "far more unhappy customers than happy/loving it customers"? Haven't seen any.
around 500k sales in q1 vs 14 mils in 2020, says something :)
Source? CDPR haven't said anything yet officially, and I remember reading the article 1-2 months ago which estimated 2021 sales to 1.5-2 millions.
