My friends and clan don't have any tips for your 60 @general_hades

However google learned me that a 100mhz core increase with some tweaks to TDP and Voltage is possible.
from what reviews i've read it's quite easy to get it to 1.5 Ghz without going near the red, just curious how close that pushes it to a 970's stock performance

Not close i'm afraid

Bus limitations, mem limitations and half the compute units available.

Problem with the 960 is that at a higher quality the bus gets backed up, and Mem is not enough.

Hmm, i wonder how a 670 holds up to a 960.......any ideas as i currently have a 670 and have been thinking of buying a 970.

the gefore website shows it only gives a minor boost over the 670 http://www.geforce.com/hardware/desktop-gpus/geforce-gtx-960/performance

I have a 970, I'll probably run it on high at first and hope to push 60FPS, failing that I'll tweak it.

I have an ATI R9 270x but not to sure what that is against an Ndidia card but I expect it to run fine for me at 1080p.

In no way am I saying this to show boat... but I am really hoping this game at 4k Ultra takes every ounce of my 2 Titan X's ... GTA V does... 4k is a lot to be pushing... if this game is "Ultra" and high res textures it should take 2 titan x's to run at that resolution...

UNLESS - I should state - the game is just unbelievably optimized. Far better than any game released to this date.

Did the same thing yesterday :) hoping this makes an actual difference on ultra and it's not limited by its vram problem

That sounds great, I hope I am able to run the game on mostly ultra (without Hairworks or AA) on a 1680x1050 screen while simultaneously recording the game to my second HDD with Nvidia Shadowplay on 1080p, 60 FPS (50+ is okay).

MGSV is going stable with 50+ FPS on everything maxed out so here is hoping....

I don't think anything will scale up better than GTA V for quite some time. Remember how long it took RockStar to get the pc version out! That game really is amazing in it's scalability on all pcs both upwards and down.

Its an Nvidia optimised game so i wont hold me breath it runs smooth at all.
Every internvieuw was given with Nvidia logo's and the game was showed only Nvidia hardware.

Not a single AMD clip was taken or a word said about AMD in these past years.

Think we need to wait a week or 2 before we get a new driver :(

Have you guys seen this?

1920x1080, Low settings GTX 960
1920x1080, Medium settings GTX 960
1920x1080, High settings GTX 960
1920x1080, Uber settings GTX 970
1920x1080, Uber settings w/ GameWorks GTX 980
2560x1440, Uber settings GTX 980
2560x1440, Uber settings w/ GameWorks GTX TITAN X, or 2-Way SLI GTX 970
3840x2160, Uber settings GTX TITAN X, or 2-Way SLI GTX 980
3840x2160, Uber settings w/ GameWorks 2-Way SLI GTX 980 or GTX TITAN X

Also a little bit weird what Nvida saying:
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt’s May 18th release is tantalizingly close. On PC, the experience will be enhanced with higher-resolution textures, higher-quality effects, higher levels of detail, uncapped framerates, and many other enhancements. And like the latest and greatest PC games, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is further enhanced with NVIDIA technologies and GameWorks effects that increase immersion and image quality throughout the 100-hour action RPG.

Higer-resolution textures?? They were the same as console, right?.

Also the difference between SSAO en HBAO+ is big.
Far Cry 4 SSAO: http://international.download.nvidia.com/geforce-com/international/images/far-cry-4/far-cry-4-ambient-occlusion-002-ssao.png

We only seeing ultra gameplay with SSAO.

I recently bought a 960. :D

Didn't want to buy a 970, because when it's advertised as having 4 GB it should have 4 GB.

Begs the question WHY. If that tanks the performance as much as the useless hairworks, it won't help 95+% of the people that want to play it who don't have either 2 980 or at least a Titan X.

The performance on AMD cards also might really suck, so beware if you have a Radeon.

My 970 has never been my concern, it's my i5-2500 (non K) I worry won't be able to keep up.

I was considering upgrading but at this point I want to hold off till the Skylake Intel CPUs come out.

All I really want to know is what my set up can do at 60FPS.

After that, I can worry about maxing it out a year or two from now when I do my second playthrough with all the DLC out.
