There's already more than a dozen active users on this thread who are researching day and night. I have faith in you and faith can move mountains !

:smiling2:

please accept my deepest gratitude for your efforts.

I cannot say this enough times: I am eternally grateful to you guys for putting in so much time and effort in an attempt to bring The Witcher 3 to its maximum potential. Kudos to you, ladies and gentlemen, together you proved time and again that the Internet can be a friendly place for the respectful exchange of information and opinions!

:cheers3:

Thank you very much for everyone contributing to this thread.

Bookmarked it and going to try some tweaks later today.

Is the OP constantly updated? I just found out this thread today and it is 130+ pages long. I don't want to miss anything.

A very warm welcome to our thread, PeLLet_RSD! :D

Rest assured that the OP is constantly updated and you will never need to look any further for all of the latest tweaks and fixes for The Witcher 3. Good luck tweaking your game and should you have any questions at all, do not hesitate to post them in this thread and we will work out any issues with the game together! ;)

Thank you very much for your kind words, Andrew, I really appreciate your support! :D

As for the extremely annoying pop-in, we've tried about every tweak we could find in an attempt to alleviate these issues and found that CDPR hard-locked the pop-in distances on the engine side. This means that we cannot adjust these parameters without cracking open certain files, tweaking the respective values by trial and error and then repackaging said files. For the moment we haven't been able to do any of that, but as soon as someone does, I will post a link to the modded files in the OP, as usual! ;)
Ah, excellent saves me from spending time tweaking them for nothing then :p . Can't wait to see what people do with this game once RedKit is released!

Hopefully this will help some people: I've been struggling to rid stutter in the game, I've got the game running 'beyond' ultra (using the amazing tweaks from this thread) at 50fps except a few places where it drops by up to 10fps (i7 4770k, R9 290 + 8GB RAM)
Increasing the ObjectMemoryTrigger to 512 didn't really do anything for me (Even limiting my fps to 40 gave me the same fps drops as if it was at 50 which made me certain it wasn't a performance issue but the game) however after doubling IdleFrameCount to 1800 and AutoDiscardCount to 2000 I immediately noticed a reduction in stutter throughout the game, I obviously still get the drops in certain places but they're not nearly as noticeable now compared to before and areas where I should have been getting a steady framerate I now do!

I apologise if this has already been covered or if I've missed something about why you shouldn't change these values. Hopefully this will help some people who are having stuttering problems if the ObjectMemoryTrigger tweak doesn't :)

For me, the shadow cascade tweaks make the window lighting worse and doesn't do anything for the popping in of shadows on physx objects like flags/laundry.

Found some [LoadingScreen] options at user.settings and changed it a bit to see if recap movies would be disabled but nothing changed. I'll try a little more later at home.

Only the unicorn one seems to work

EDIT: Proof

Edit2: I extracted modUnicorn.zip to "The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt\Mods"

So you get "The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt\Mods\modUnicorn\content" and then the 4 files
Yeah it seems to be legit as it uses newly implemented (or so i assume) method of reading new bundles, though the way it has been released screams "leak" like nothing else so i guess that somebody may get in legal trouble for doing this, especially since we haven't heard about RedKit 2 at all but boom, here's example pack meant to be released along the new RedKit.

You can guess it's still ways off, because only bundle reading works, the script based mods like Equipment Sets and the Bombs one cause engine-level issues.
Still, i'd love to have their (de)compiling tools so we wouldn't have to mess with QuickBMS or Java tools to rely on modding. Ability to decrypt and edit scripts would be great as that's where main modding potential lies.

Edit:
It's gone from nexus, if it was an employee or an intern, he just terminated his contract for no good reason, lol.

DAMN IT. So it was legit I guess. I wonder how long till CDPR releases REDKIT cause clearly something works like that Unicorn mod. So I'm guessing general texture replacing mods and other cool stuff will be easier with REDKIT now just by making a folder called MOD and putting stuff in it. Managed to take a screenshot of that page before it was took out. Also @DarkSpikeX can you pass me those mod files you downloaded? I accidentally deleted them. Thanks.

I also want those files :/

I had them but my download was corrupted somehow. I need Unicorn Roachie in my life.

thank GOD we heard something ! as for mods coming to PS4 and XB1, i doubt it'll work, and quite frankly i don't care. consoles = closed environment = no modification on software and hardware level.

Hope i'm in the right place :)

I have this terrible freeze/crash problem. Its guaranteed that the game freezes in the first 5 minutes of gameplay. When its frozen i can still hear the game running. I tried many things but nothing seems to fix this problem.<br>

How can I adjust settings for memory use? When I start the game, I have a certain amount of frames per second, but after a while they just low down and I fear it must be some kind of memory leak or I don't know what.

Guys just letting you know it isn't RedKit at all and they aren't planning to release RedKit.

Marcin Momot:
@MeerMusik This is the mod support for the Wild Hunt. At this moment we are not planning to release anything else.

The Problem is that this so called ModKit is extremely primitative and apparently doesn't have the abilities that most people were expecting to have with such tool. There is a lot of rage about it and it seems its just some CMD script type kit. In the end doesn't really tap into the main files from what I am looking at from all the comments on Twitter and NexusMods.
