Greetings merry folk of the Witcher Forums!! Posters and lurkers alike!!
Since the lack of info and the hype for E3 is slowly but effectively driving us mad, I propose that we take advantage of our maddened state and put to good use!
So here's the deal:
I'm sure many of you have heard the song that is herewith attached, and I'm also sure that many agree that it is a crowning achievement in both lyrical and musical prowess, a classic that will be remembered and celebrated for years to come.That being the case I humbly ask of our most dear developers that they include this masterpiece in TW3 as an inn chanty. Oh just imagine it merry folk of TW forums!! Entering an inn and being enveloped by this magical tune!! Sung in the the soothing voices of 6 drunken sailors as they gracefully stumble over each other and bang their fists on the table!! Oh let me tell you friends, I would be one happy Witcher!!

This would indeed sound fantastic as a tavern song in TW3. It'd also be a good PR jesture, if they announce that they are including it.

Yeah, I like it. But what's the lesson? Don't plow a troll? I don't think even a drunk Odrin would try that, let alone a drunk Geralt. And he tried to cross a stream on whores' arses. :laughing: Apart from comical songs, I would also enjoy to hear songs or stories of fear, war and superstition. But yeah, more tavern songs and such! I liked the tune 'Oyster Nan' and 'Plow 'em all' from Witcher 2 so they clearly have the skills to write them. Now, just combine it with the musicians from Witcher 1, and the jester that tells bad(great!) jokes about politics and sorceresses and I'd be a happy man. A very happy man. ^_^

EDIT: Oh and I forgot. Is a developer like CDPR willing to pay for this song, or would the artist willingly let the devs have it in the game without pay. Think about it, it's a huge compliment to have a tavern song in Witcher 3. Well I would like to think so.
Hell, I might write some songs myself because this, this I know how to do.

Looks like I'm going to be the minority here & say, No Thanks :S

It's a funny song & I liked it, but it's a little bit too stupid to actually put in the game. I think I'd be more prone to facepalming if I walked into an Inn & heard Dandelion playing/singing that (Or something similar) rather than actually getting swept up in the "Inn Mood".

That said, all in good fun here for the thread, please continue on without any further negativity from me.

I totally agree, it would be just as awesome if we entered an Inn and heard sailors singing a gloomy song about the comrades they lost at sea, or warriors singing about the terrors of war, these things really make the world alive IMO, makes you think about the sailors laughing their asses of while singing "ploughing a troll" just before being sent to a sea voyage from which many won't return, or warriors making a toast in honor of their dead friends.

It would need to be re-recorded to fit the overall style, and sound like a bunch of out-of-tune and drunken dwarves, sailors, whatever in a bar. But yes, I'd love it to be there. Just once and in the background, nothing major.

Heh, have you ever played Fable 3? There's a line mentioning balls...and it's screamed.

On another note:"I ****** a she-elf once." was a line that totally caught me by surprise in Witcher 1.
