The 'Afterlife' has a menu, but no actual way to order 'the Jackie Wells' as advertised. (see photoshopped pic below)

This suggestion is simply to have it on the menu - first one's free. (then it disappears or something).

Could be an easy quest, and would tie up that part of the story. -w

There is one ending where it does.

That's true - at the moment Claire says it however it is not an option.

(update edit):: I completed my first story run (around Dec 25th) with 'into the sun' and experienced the Jackie Wells at the Afterlife (as described).

To be fair, the entire menu/crafting/item systems need overhauls and have been things people are requesting to be more interactive/animated. It might happen somewhere down the road.

You get one in The Sun endings (the option to not drink, choose Johnny's or Jackie's drink).
Regardless, bars should honestly not even have the regular vendor interface. Should be closer to what you get in story cutscenes: Go to bar, enter dialogue/interaction (Sit/Lean/Talk to bartender), then pick a drink from several dialogue options.
Then all your drinking is done cinematically. Street food should be handled the same. Would increase immersion immensly imo. For stocking up on food and drink we should use small time grocery stores, not bars and street vendors.

There's so many unfinished things with this game. This is another example. We have a whole dialogue about this drink and then you can't even order it. There should also be a Silverhand on that menu. Every bar/restaurant have the same generic items. I miss the experience for example in RDR2 where you can actually order the drink and enjoy it in the bar. Now it's:

Dialogue
Open shop menu
Move item from shop window to own inventory
(Goes back to game)
Open Menu
Go to own inventory
Search the item you just bought
Press USE

Can I just go to a bar and drink without this whole hassle? They have ready animations in the missions but only in missions. It's kinda dumb.

This is also why everything having to do with vendors just disappoints after Act I (including their inventories).
Getting cybernetics? Never as good as the first cutscene with Vic. Just opens the UI on interaction with the ripper
Bars and street food? Handled immersively, but only in story missions. Evey other occasion - generic UI
Guns? Generic UI (at least we get some dialogue variety with Wilson)
Clothing? Generic UI
Junk shops? Generic UI
Netrunners? Generic UI
Medshops? Generic UI
Fixers? 3 dialogue options - Ragina gets a fourth for Cyberpsychos

It's not even the generic UI being bad or clunky. But it should have never comprised the majority of the vendor mechanic. Another system that had to be stopped in mid-development because they needed to scramble towards release. Can't polish your systems if you can't even get them working on multiple console generations in addition to PC.

No to Jackie’s drink at Afterlife given that only real Legends can earn a drink named after them at the Afterlife. Clearly Jackie Wells never truly reached Legendary status in Night City therefore it would be an insult to the legends to have an official drink be named after a wannabe legend at the Afterlife. I mean are all wannabe legends gonna get their drink named after them too?? Yeah everyone loves Jackie but he was no NC Legend.
