The short story mentioned in the enhanced pack is explaining what you see in the game intro - it is really very short one as the pages are small but it is a nice reading anyway. The story was included in the standard version of the game in Czech republic where i come from. And no, unlike my collegues I do not need the add-ons to be localized, I found the english voiceovers to be better :)Anyway, this is a great job you have done, CD Prioject/RED. You are really setting an example to the big names in the gaming industry. Thank you very much.

well i dont need it localized too, i was just asking if english mod will be compatible with czech game :) btw czech dubbing is weird.

there are maybe some missing texts and voices in english version, but if you compare the voice acting quality (choosen voices, intonation...) the english version is much much better, at least for me... ;)

I know it's available for free, but I'll be buying a new copy of the game. It is probably one of the best games I played in years, and when a new Eastern European developer to not only release a surprisingly polished game, but an RPG that managed to involve you in the gameworld in a way most higher budgeted games claimed they would do. I want to vote with my dollars and let publishers know that I'm willing to pay for efforts like this. At a time when many developers have decided to stop making PC games, CDPR went out of their way to support it. Plus it would be nice to have the definitive edition in one package like a limited edition I couldn't have before, with the map and behind-the-scenes videos and whatnot in one package, something North Americans couldn't get the first time.I can't believe they're doing the new translation, the cost of getting the voice actors to come back and read more lines must have been substantial. I was at the beginning of my second playthrough with the extended script and polish voices but now I think I'll wait. With this and Mass Effect PC coming the same month, it's going to be good times for an RPG fan like me this summer.

Way to go CDPR. YOU GUYS (AND GALS) ROCK!!! It is incredibal of you to offer all of this new content for free, to registered users. Your dedication to The Witcher is unpresidented. I will definitly be buying the enhanced edition to show my support ( and get all the cool new stuff that comes in the box.) You all should be very proud of the incredible game that you have made, and all the hard work and devotion you have put into supporting it. Now that's just great customer sevice. Count me as 600001. A fan and huge supporter of CDPR.Waiting untill May for the EE is going to feel like having to go pee REALLY bad, but not having any place to do it. Did I mention I can't wait.

Just wanted to share my gratitude, to all folks that played a role in making this happen. After playing games for 20+ years and sinking into bitterness, due to seeing how the business matured from a bunch of garage based innovators into a cost-efficient me2 industry, it is nice to have a glimpse of that flow of passion back, that only origins from people taking care in what they craft. You respect our experience and the opinion we formed out of it. And actually intend to enhance it. Just to reward this behavior, developers that actually listen to what their customer base has to say, you have ensured another purchase of the enhanced version.Cheers & Thanks once againS.

This proves that CD P is not an ordinary developer! Only Looking Glass tryed to do something like this for the first Thief (Thief Gold).

I think Ascaron's "Sacred Plus" is a far closer analogy.

I read in the .PDF that the new MODs will be in Polish and English. Are you going to translate them in other languages ?

Wow, I can't wait for the extended contents to come out! The best thing is they will be for free for registered game owners and it shows me that RED CD PROJEKT really cares about the fan community of the game they developed, they want to improve the game and prolong the playability of the game for those of us who already showed our support by buying this amazing game! This is amazing news! THX to the developer~!

I am amazed. I actually set The Witcher aside in January to play other things, but I left it satisfied. If you really do this thing and you re-release this with the English re-dubbed and re-subtitled, add NPC models, and all of that, it will be unprecedented. Although I would be entitled to all of these things for free, I hereby pledge as others have before me to go out and buy it again. Just because you will have earned it. The game was great to begin with, and its flaws, though disappointing, were far less than what anyone would have guessed from a first-time developer with such an ambitious project. I can understand that adding NPC models is useful for potential expansions, as is tweaking the inventory. Improving core code to enhance stability and loading time could be seen as "traditional" patch release issues and will be very useful for future uses of your engine. But re-translating the existing game? Betting that you will make money on that is a steep bet indeed. That is love of the art. And we, the community, love you because of it.I stand in awe and deep appreciation. Mass Effect will just have to wait its turn.....

I'm afraid it's too early to make any predictions about that.

Sounds awesome. Nice to know thy are supporting their customers which is more than most game company's do. I'll probably buy this edition just to show them my support.Just one question though, I know you said you had not decided about the censorship issue but as soon as you have can you post the answer? I need to know if I have to order from the UK again or if I can buy it in Canada (though it will probably be cheaper having it imported from the UK anyways ???).
