We are getting a item weight mechanic? It looks like we are also able to carry weapons in the bag rather than have slots.I just looked at the first post and had a look at the link, it looks clear and it looks interesting. It reminds me of the inventory in morrowind or the legend of zelda sort of....hehe if that make sense :)

I hate list based inventories, those are made for consoles and gamepads which can't into drag & drop.

I'm actually busy with a playthrough of TW1 EE again at the moment and judging by that screenshot I'd much prefer that TW2 UI to the old TW1 one. I do agree that it could do with more items displayed in the list, but other than that it seems like a major improvement to me.

Just played through TW1 recently and imo that looks like a definite improvement.More information available it seems (like potion duration and toxicity)and much cleaner than the TW1 inventory. Also with so many apparently different categories I dont think seeing only seven items at a time will be too much of a hassle.

One of the 7 visible items, are you kidding me?Managing list inventories was a nightmare in ME/Fallout 3/NV games, I don't want this shit here.

I find some of the arguments a bit confusing. People state that lists are console friendly, yet TW 1 which is PC exclusive had several lists. By that logic this game should be a even greater step towards being PC exclusive over the previous one rather than in reverse.

You can't compare it to Fallout 3 (which indeed was a mess). There is already different inventory categories implemented so seeing for example 7 different types of potions at once is more than sufficient. It is still an great improvement from TW 1 where the lists could be insanely long, remember if you can't stand it in TW 2 there is always mods. The new engine is supposed to be user friendly aswell.

Would it be a problem for anyone to have more than 7 items on the list ? NO, it would be better for everyone... Sorry but people shouldn't need mods for these basic things given the fact that this is a PC game for now. I modded Oblivion/F3/FNV UIs because they were designed for gamepad/console, but that shouldn't happen for a PC exclusive game. Just my 2 cents

Not for I. I prefer it if it's stylish made and don't have too many items on a page. It's much easier to navigate if you have 7 items visual rathern than 50. So again, it's a matter of taste. Again, TW 1 is PC exclusive and in that game the lists could be a drag, therefore I find it confusing you use lists as an argument whenever a game is PC exclusive or console friendly.

Actually if you look at my posts I've never used this argument, I even said I prefer list inventory over "icon based ones", my only problem is the number of items. Hyperbole much with 50 items ? Never said that too, few pages back I added a modified SS of the inventory and for me around 15-20 items would be ok

Fair enough, I apologize. Maybe in TW 3 it will be as you suggested, I still believe though that the current verision is an improvement from the previous game and are therefore satisfied with the result that CD RED gave us.

No its not enough, F3/FNV/ME/DA etc all have categories and its still a mess. I prefer to have my whole inventory (or the significant portion of it) on one screen, and not have a click/scroll-fest to find something or look through it.

TW1 didn't have any lists, except for the journal which is a completely different thing. Yup, TW1 inventory was a mess, EE made it ok, still, lists is an aberration to any pc game and is worst than a mess.
