A plot-related question about save import.

I've recently discovered that my last save is just before the final battle with Jacques de Aldersberg, in the last act, just after the last meditation. I've made the choice of fighting the King of the Wild Hunt in the last battle, but I haven't saved afterwards.
Will this in any way affect the story in TW2?

Not completely sure, but I think there's no way you can save after that battle, so the last save is gonna be used in TW2 is always prior the fight against
the grown up Alvin
.EDIT: thanks RedShift, I forgot!

Oh well, if that's true, I'm glad.BTW, spoiler your post. There are some people who browse these forums who didn't play TW1 yet.

Sure you can. After you finish the last battles you go back to the order of the flaming rose castle where you can save before going through the door with Dandelion.@op if you have TW1 installed I would just load up your save, use a few minutes to finish the battles again and then save at the spot I described above.Chances are ofcourse it doesnt matter in the import, but better safe than sorry considering how little effort it is.

OK. I think I mixed up saves and auto-saves. Im pretty sure that TW2 uses the last autosave (or the equivalent save). Let me find the source...

"If you have both TW1 and TW2 installed,TW2 will automatically find the save games from TW1,and if you have few of them like after a critical point, after the last autosave of TW1,you will actually even be asked which one you prefer to use"From the recent CDPR spring conference.

I don't consider the choice of killing or not killing KoWH as an important choice. Every choice that matters are displayed in Icy Plains and I bet there are a couple of those that will be shown with the save import. After all, you can't "really" kill the KoWH, but more give him the long finger.Since it's also will be the latest save file that will be imported and there is no "real" final save file in the end of TW 1, I doubt that saving before or after that will have any significant difference in TW 2.
