seems SweetFX does not work with 64-bit games... And TW3 is only 64-bit judging by the executable in the game files....

It works fine with 64-bit games you just need to use a different version of the injector.

I personally think that SMAA is hands-down the best AA when purely looking at the performance to quality ratio.

They are all good at different things honestly. In some games FXAA works better than SMAA. Dead Space comes to mind immediately. It depends, case by case basis.

Another thing is - FXAA works on transparent textures too, I'm not sure if SMAA does.

The real question is... "MovieUbersampling=true"

Is that what I think it is??

4K means ubersampling (if your screen is 1080p) :) It is known since some months ago.

OK. I'm all ears: which other version of the injector?

The Boulotaur Injector, just don't forget to drop all the 64-bit DLL's into the root game directory and voila!

OK, found it on guru3d's forums. But it seems a bit outdated, June of 2013.

I'll post the link here for anyone else interested:

What about ReShade with Sweetfx?

I think reshade works on 64 bit.

I understood ubersampling to add lots of detail to the image, like what we got with Witcher 2. Uber-samplig made a big visual impact and had a big performance knock on systems but my god it looked fantastic.

But now the devs are withholding ubersampling in Witcher 3 because they think that PC's are not ready for it? WTF? Just add the feature for those who want to try it. LOL, not difficult.

No! Game doesn't have TXAA. Core game directory did not have any GFSDK_TXAA.win64.dll (but it must, because all other Nvidia games with TXAA - have this.dll).
And in geforce site we dont see any mention about TXAA. We can spot it only in one old video (but its not actual anymore and u know why)

:rly?:
It has some form of TemporalAA which is mentioned in the XML, even if it's not TXAA. We'll have to wait and see. Even the console versions will get a temporal solution. I am hoping it's SMAA T1x. Why? Because:
Crytek's improved implementation of SMAA T1X. Crytek's in-house version of SMAA is really quite impressive to behold, delivering results not unlike Nvidia's TXAA, but with a fraction of the performance cost.

Essentially yes, that's where Post-process AA solution started. But SMAA T1x is also TEMPORAL. Ryse uses it for example.
It depends on how it's combined with other AA. You can combine it with both MSAA AND TAA.

ehem... I can assure that Unity has tessellation, not only thanks to that article, thanks to had played it (I've 2 GTX 980). Another thing is that the game has bugs and bugs and bugs (I had to disable the SLI, cause in the patches they make it work wrong, I had to disable 3dvision cause in the patches they make it work wrong, etc...), but it was implemented.

So wrong example.

I say it again. Unity had been implemented with tessellation. I played it with tessellation. ANOTHER THING is that in the posterior patches after the release they had dissabled/destroyed/whatetever most of the things related to graphics. And I know, cause I had experimented it, that the things that stopped to work correctly are big: SLI, 3DVision, etcetera. (and some few started to work correctly).

But the game was implemented with tessellation, for sure. The article does not negate that fact. Only proves the big disaster Ubisoft did with this game.
